Question about skyline

The last few weekends I've been up there, I've noticed some big mounds of gravel off the side of the road in a few places.
Is it possible that they're getting ready to do more chipseal, or is it hopefully something unrelated?

They recently chip sealed alpine rd and some other roads off of Skyline. I think they're still working on those roads.

there has been various patching going on in some spots. pretty half ass attempts. should just hire the crew that did 84 and have em redo skyline.

Hey Dave, I thought they did a pretty good job on what they did. Left that slick pebbly busted up mess of a turn the foot down 'tard guys like to slide thru as is, so far. don't know why.

I found page mill near the top and skyline both to have a sprinkling of white gravel. Hard as hell to see. Suppose in preparation for the freeze. Made for a puckering moment before I saw the sign.

Mild pucker. What is a foot or so between friends at XX mph.
