Can my Vstrom radiator be repaired? Noticed some antifreeze on the garage floor. Looked the bike over and noticed the radiator has a leak near the bottom, center.
Guess I'll run it by a radiator repair shop on Monday.

It would depend on where it is broken and what type of materials. Aluminum tanks can probably be repaired but the aluminum tubes and/or plastic tanks would be hard to repair and would be easier to replace unless unobtainum.the broken inlet/outlet on aluminum could be fixed easily as would a leak at the seam where the core crimp onto the tanks. I don't have a reccemendaion for a repair shop though. Have always just bought new radiators.

You're in Santa Rosa, call Dutton Radiator.
I've used them before, and recommend them.
If he can't fix it he'll tell you straight up.

Depends on the type of crack. It can be welded. JB weld also makes a product if its easily filled in.

Do yourself a huge favor... (^^^on post above)

Deal with someone who repairs motorcycle radiators as their specialty. They do outstanding work. They fixed a radiator everyone else said was toast and for no more than their standard rate. They are fast and high quality.

Chances are that they might be have a swap out exchange available for you.

The worst thing to do is try to fix it yourself or have a rad shop "try" because when that doesn't work you are hosed. Mylers guarantees it will be fixed right.

Mylers.
They fixed this for me in 2011

Pulled the radiator. It's all metal so I don't see any issues with giving it to a radiator shop.
I'll be dropping it off tomorrow at Dutton Radiator Service in Santa Rosa.

Well, the radiator shop says it leaks but they can't repair aluminum radiators. I guess I'll give Mylers a call. Sigh.
