Random Weird Stuff Thread

that said, visited a zoo in austria that had a ton of goats running around (very natural setting). the little kids were all over the cute goats. next up - feeding time at the wolf enclosure. goats being ripped to shreds. total carnage.
Folks at the Safari Park asked if they ever tossed in a live rabbit or similar as "enrichment" for the tigers.

And they basically said they won't do that as they don't want to risk the tigers being injured.

That reminds me of that terrible bunny in Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Obviously, those zoo keepers were well-versed in Monty Python lore...

Random thought for the day - never heard this one before (I assume it’s true - too lazy to do the math):

And yeah, being a meme off of FB the creator of this was maybe not the most literate person on the planet. I would’ve gone with ‘reversed’ rather than inverted. Also, since it’s a screen grab the video doesn’t work. Have no idea what the video would say anyways, all I need to know is right there.

Just saw a comedian talking about the metric system and how Americans are pompous dummies for not using it 100%. It is coming slowly though.

Makes sense as everything in 10's. and Zero is 0 not 32 etc.

Celsius is technically the one little thing that’s not “metric” . It’s just Celsius, or more precisely “international system of measurement units” :) the initials SI are the important part (SI includes metric)

Metric = meter…

Funny, Australia switched from Fahren_th8ngs to Celsius ..in .. 1972 :wow
Makes sense as …. and Zero is 0 not 32 .
:laughing 👍

I’m definitely in that opinion

Good point... I stand corrected on the temp.

Look at me taking info from a comedian and fluffing the repeat!

I do the old double the temp in C and then add 32 to get a rough idea of Fahrenheit.
