It is a track when it is shut down to public use (no cars or other problems you cant see) it is a road when it doesn't have the changing variable of other vehicles not on the same page as you

There are plenty of blind turns at the track, but the track didnt change from one lap to the next, there is no car coming the other way, or bicycle in the way

And anytime you think YOU compare to John McGuiness, go ahead and go race at IOM

And I quote your sigline "I try to stay out the Leo forum cause I get banned everytime I make a point."

No, your last post is why you get banned. Nick, love ya man but you're off on regular tangents, just like this one. There is no point to be made.

Fast on the street= having balls to rail around a blind turn. Track= very wide lanes smooth pavement and always being able to see where u are going don't u think? It's a lot easier to ride on the track.

You're either messin' with us, or simply need to go to a track and see what it's about. I'll leave it at that. It's not fair to bust your chops over a statement that's so naive.

Stupidity, carelessness, recklessness, bravery, etc. sometimes make a person fast. Usually those kinds of people are quick, but they crash a lot. Sometimes they have good luck and good reflexes and they don't. There are always exceptions to every rule. I think what people are trying to tell you is that being ballsy and being skilled are two different ways of being fast. Skill allows you to be fast and stay upright more often. Skill is achieved more quickly and safely at the track because of relatively controlled conditions. That's not to say that there aren't a lot of very swift street riders out there who are just sportin' some huge cajones. I think you'll find that most of them are young and have had some pretty bad accidents. Take a poll and find out how many 40 y.o.'s are hauling ass on the street versus those on the track. It's not just a matter of money either--going fast on the street tends to lessen one's chances of making it to 40.

There have been countless threads started on this subject and a search will yield many good discussions. I suggest that you try to educate yourself on both sides of the topic before devoting yourself to one side or another. Of course, the best way to do this would be to actually go to the track a few times. A trackday at Thunderhill is generally less than $200. At a C pace you can probably run the tires you have on the bike. If you have gear then you're set. Make yourself a sammich, bring some tape for your lights and mirrors and have at it. Let me know how Turns 5 and 9 work out for ya--because no turns at the track are blind. :shhh

Never said I compared to anybody And I know the streets are shut down. Just gave u some food for thought. Streets are harder to ride then the track. But it seems as if your too dumb to realize that. I'm done wasting my time bs'n with u track stars that never make it out to a real ride. I understand that it's fun to ride on the track it's safe and controlled but it's pretty sad how I see all these track lovers talk shit about the avg canyon riding dudes cause they feel special that they ride on a track. Big woopppyyy. Come out and ride a early morning Sunday ride with a group of guys I know from up north. Then u can cry when u see a 60 year old man fly by you on a vstrom. Then u can show off your track skills.

And yes chances are u will crash on the streets. I've been down hard 4 times. But only once in the canyons. But I do believe u will gain skill just as fast on the street as the track. It's all about seat time.

And just a question I was wondering what u mean by the tires you have on your bike???
I have donlop 209gp's 120/70 and 190/60. So u are trying to say?

:rofl Good one! :thumbup

O yeah 165mph down the home straight @ THill then hard braking into T1 @ 100+ is a breeze. However 60mph around a blind turn and making sure you stay in your lane is so hard! :laughing

Track riders street ride, your hasty conclusion is a fallacy. Track riders rode both, and realized that if they want to really carve it up they go to the track, don't be surprised when that 60 year old tells ya about his trackday, and when he is even faster on the track, when he is actually trying to go fast.

I ride nearly every day, maybe 10 days out of the year I don't ride, which includes morning twisties, and it is people like you which makes myself and the OP desire the monday morning rides far more than having to be near people such as yourself on a sunday.

Anytime you feel like showing everyone a lesson, let me know, I'll even pay your track day if you are faster on your zx10 then I am on my F4i

I've only been down once and I was 16 at the time, but I work so I guess I don't count as a real rider :p :laughing Dude find a happy place and stop stressing and stereotyping. I ride 5-7 times a week from the mountains into the city (I commute on my bike) I don't think I am a pretend rider :laughing

We all ride, it is all good. Canyons, track, dirt, street, cruisers, sports, or mini bikes, it is always a fun time. Here I'll share my happy pills with you :teeth

Wicker won't do it. He is a desktop squid. He may ride fast and be able to stunt but I don't think he has the balls to put out on the track cause he is scurred.

He has been called out onto the track in several threads and just BSes on the thread instead of taking people up on the offer which could lead to a nice friendship and some nice track days.

Wick I would like to see you actually take someone up on these offers. Shit man if I had to do to get a free track day was talk some shit I would be all over it.

I are also an 1337 rider. I will school all of you at Laguna and Sears. I can has free track day now? :toothless

I dont know what 1337 rider means. My point to him was to come out to the track and see you are not as fast as you think, just risky and brave, which doesn't have anything at all to do with skill. I am not the fastest rider out there, nor do I act like I am, which makes my point stronger to him. Ballsy street riding is not as skilled or fast as the usual trackday rider. Not to mention the fact that huge horsepwer is pointless when the rider is the issue (my f4i vs his zx10). I wont be the only one passing him, and maybe it will humble him out and open his eyes (as it has for many I have taken to the track for their first time)

Laguna Seca? What a puss. I'll smoke you on the streets on either one of my bikes. Put your mouth where your foot is and bring it to the back of the school after class, you're going down bub! In fact any of you who wish to take on the streets against me just be there.

The only thing any y'all see is my motorcycle's tail light ...
