Recommendation sought on riding gloves

Maybe I'm weird but I don't understand why people wear less protective gloves on the street than on the track.

I would think you need as much ( if not more ) protection on the street.

Then again maybe its because I ride an SV650 and that bike struggles to go 90+ track or not. LOL

Alpine Stars SP2 gloves. In your price range, look great, and have held up well in a few low speed lowsides. Would buy again.

I traded my SP1s for two sets of SP2s. The SP1 is a top of the line glove and very secure. The SP2 has about equal protection but is easier to slide on.

I don't think so. The 'SP' line of gloves is pretty wimpy compared to their GP line of gloves.

The GP-Pro is their 'best' glove.

Went to Cycle Gear San Luis yesterday, or Sunday anyway, and they let me have a set of SP2s for $80. Tag price was $109-$119.

(For when it's really, really cold, and I wear gloves).
