How quick do electric bikes lap the track compared to ICE supersports?

I recently read news that a Tesla P100D broke the Laguna Seca record lap time for stock EVs at this event, but then I went to look at what lap times ICE cars get and it was a similar lap time to a Honda Civic and a few seconds slower than a stock Miata... pretty sad.

I think from what I remember at WSBK last week a racing Superbike will do around 1:20 around Laguna. If you look at the modified and and racing Brammos that have the records they can do almost a 1:30 that's not too bad, the Empulse is more of a supersport than a superbike. The Energica Ego did a 1:48 and has the new production record, it's kind of not fair because that's a legit superbike.

I was doing 2:15s on my Empulse I'm sure if I were a better rider I could do 2:00, because the other Empulses got that =P

Screaming and yelling at other racers is fairly common during motocross races. Supermoto attracts a lot of MX racers so the first time I raced supermoto and heard all the shit talk during the race, I was laughing so hard I missed a bunch of apexes. It would make road racing way more fun.

Found a Brammo from 2013 I don't know how that is a production bike its got fairings and clipons. The gearing is shorter than mine.

Finally got a chance to upload my on board video (it's not embedding properly so click the first link). I was able to set a new Production EV lap record. I made a few mistakes and tires too cold to totally trust. Was a really fun day at the track lots of rad people to chat with between sessions.

My fastest lap during Refuel TT, I find it funny my fastest lap seems like when I was passed the most. Allz I know if it has a fancy fairing on it, its FAST!

So I got to see a unicorn electric motorcycle at Refuel TT. He was actually my neighbor he parked right next to me, the owner was a really nice guy. This is the same Mission Motors that was in the Charge documentary. Check it out it was a beautiful bike.

Even after 10 years it's a very good looking bike. I got a chance to tour their old shop in Dogpatch, really down to earth super smart group of people.

It's really interesting how close the specifications of the Mission were to the EGO; 105 kw, 11.4kW battery, 150mph top speed. They run a higher voltage battery, would be interested in the reasoning.
