Hello AFM-ers!

I am planning a N400 build this winter with the goal of racing in AFM next season. This will be my first time doing anything competitive, very excited!

Started to do some digging into the technical regulations for the SS class, which seems like the best entry point. Where do I go for clarifications around the rules? For example, I am trying to understand what I can / can't do in terms of fairings. From from SS-1.6

k) Fairing and bodywork (not including fuel tank) may be replaced with
cosmetic duplicates of the original parts. Size and dimensions must be
the same as the original parts

o) Seat, seat base and associated bodywork may be replaced with parts
similar in appearance to the original, stock parts. Seat brackets may be
added, but not removed from frame. Profile may be changed to allow for
proper number display.

This seems like this would preclude using the front fairing GP kit from Norton, but not the rear unit: https://www.norton-motorsports.com/...ies-gp-spec-race-bodywork-kawasaki-ninja-400/

I prefer the flexibility for clip-on positioning relative to the strictly stock inspired kits. But am I setting myself up for a headache if I go this route? Any advice welcome. I have emailed both Norton (they aren't sure) and Paul Kieffer but unsure whether to expect a response from him.

Thanks in advance!

I would say post your question in the 'AFM Racers And Fans' facebook page. Lots of racers and tech guys check that much more often than BARF. I would also suggest a little more detail about what the difference in the two pieces would be. I bet you get an answer pretty quickly there.
