The Long way....

Meet Trader Joes in San Rafael,
kick stands up at 730

Up route 1 to skaggs, then down 101 to meet up with everyone at Lagunitas brewery.

Enforcement has been heavy on Skaggs lately so I plan on taking it easy through the fast sections, but lots of good riding getting there and we will be early enough to miss the traffic going up the coast.

Planning to ride a moderate pace and all are welcome, but this is probably not a great idea for a newer rider since it is 170 miles of twisty roads and I don't plan to stop much along the way. If more than a few people show up (unlikely I know) we will split into separate rides, too hard to keep a large group moving over that kind of mileage.

It would be easy to peel off in Bodega if anyone is interested in a shorter ride or decides they don't want to go the whole way.

Post if your coming, otherwise I won't be stopping at the meet spot.

Sweet, will be great to have some company.

I will be staying in san rafael the night before so no SF meet planned. Glad your in.

like the early bird. I'm in but may take a shorter cut back home earlier. connecting to 1 via Sir Francis Drake? if so, 7:45 on route in Fairfax works?

nice idea for the sj boy i am

I was thinking of taking faifax bolinas if its not too wet and foggy at that hour.. So be waiting somewhere before the turn off in fairfax. I'll be riding a black triumph tiger. Lots of places to cut off and shorten the route.

sounds good. it's my hometown, so I'll connect with you at the border of San Anselmo/Fairfax as you enter the town.

YOu guys planning breakfast in San Rafael?

I'm probably in for the Trader Joe's meet spot, that is if my alarm wakes me up.

Doesn't sound like there's gonna be much time for chow... any breakfast to be had in that plaza? I'm aimin' to be there at 7

http://www.cafetriosanrafael.com/ - but it's closed that early. There's a Burger King one exit south and a Starbucks in the shopping center across the street on Grand Ave.

None...:(
Cafe Trio opens late and there isn't anything else in that plaza.

Not much for quick breakfast around there, La croisant a bit south on Francisco blvd has good pastries (as well as full breakfast but its sit down and takes a bit)

I generally hate food before about 9 am so you are all on your own for eating.

Not sure what time you would make it back to Oakland Dubington, but I am hoping to be at Lagunitas by around 1.

See you all bright and early, dress warm.

Ben
