Riding to/from haircut place question

Great news guys and gals! I got my haircut and just tussled my hair for a little before putting my helmet back on and the freeway ride home went fine :)

The kinds of threads/questions posted on BARF that reach 5+ pages never cease to amaze me.:party

It's common sense for gel to mess up a helmet? Sorry, but that makes no sense to me. That's like saying sweat will mess up your helmet, so you might as well not wear one.
hair gel and shower caps hurt helmets?

nice:rofl:rofl

IQ of this thread is dropping pretty fast
Indeed, you just posted.
First, I didn't say that shower caps hurt helmets. I am concerned that the helmet might slide around and not properly stay in place when you need the idiot saving device, however.

Second, I have pulled from the HJC support page some information about sweat and helmets, because it is a less expensive brand that you two might be familiar with. I will also add that the inside protective shell is highly sensitive to chemicals. (This information is available from your iputz phone, if you wish to google it.) Since most helmets are open between the lining, there is direct open space from your head to the shell. Get the idea?
HJC:
Although we recommend changing a helmet every 3 to 5 years, the accumulation of sweat, humidity, and dirt can deteriorate the fabric and stitching and this may cause odor. To wash HJC removable pads, HJC recommends regular machine washing and air drying. …. For non-removable interiors, HJC recommends using bacteria and mildew eliminating products
I suggest that you take my pose off challenge, rather than an Intelligence Quotient face off. It will be healthier.

i didnt know you get a hair cut every time you ride. i suppose your liners will be eaten through by the gallons of gel you put on your head everyday.

and the "odor"...OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOO. washing liners. NOOOOOOOOOOO :cry

come on. realistically, you think gelling your hair after a hair cut will ruin your helmet? :facepalm

Good, now I can stop digging my fallout shelter since we all thought the world was going to end if this didn't end well. :laughing

Now the question we are all waiting for is . . .

What kind of conditioner are you going to go with?

For more Volume? More body? Itchy scalp? Or a moisturizer? :teeth

I find it amusing how low your insults go. This is the internet, loosen up. Sucker punches about finances and intelligence... you're so superior! :party

I've already mentioned how often one gets a haircut, yet apparently gel will still cause severe damage to your helmet.

:laughing

Gooood. Who brought up IQ? Not me. Apparently, your superior intelligence has escaped you, again. You will also note, that I ended each post with Zoolander. If your head could get out of your buddy's behind, you might have noticed the light-heartedness. Sucker-punch-boy.

And I ended my last post with "Smilies" yet you're still offended. If you realized how pompous and elitist you sound, you might realize why more than one person has an issue with what you've posted thus far.

With that said, I'm willing to agree to disagree. Take care :thumbup

I use whatever the woman leaves in the shower. Seems to work just fine.:laughing

Posting from an iphone, are we? :p

No. I included the apostrophe on purpose to give it a southern drawl when reading it... Heeell would make it seem like I'm talking about shoes... God forbid what that discussion would turn into..! :teeth

sometimes at Super Cuts, I get a tit in the eye.

I like that!

:thumbup

Wish I had that problem..! I usually get the Pakistani with a rough hand and old "animal" clippers, and then wants to crack my neck after his done butchering all my hair off for a high and tight..! :x

Yo op,
I always wear a balaclava myself, so it's easy to wash, hair, pubes, blood, grease, sap, whatever out of. :teeth
(Just got my hair cut, but didn't get a bosom in my eye. :thumbdown But she did rub her thigh on my hand/arm and that gave me wood. :thumbup )
