Rydther Photo thread 2026

On Saturday morning after the "Intrepid Four" left on the Death Ride 400 I went and got some breakfast. Eggs SSU, waffle, and bacon that
looked like strips of reconstituted cardboard dipped in bacon fat to give it that real Bacon taste and air fried to an extra dry state. A few minutes later Elfin walked up and asked if I was going to eat my bacon. 🥓 :laughing Told her it was all hers and with much glee she commented that it was how they served it down South. Ok, if ever go to South Carolina I'll order sausage!

As for the "Intrepid Four" they rolled back into Headquarters pretty closed to 6PM and ~380 miles. :applause (y)

After bfast I decided to roll up the coast ~29 miles up to the road closure. It was super kool as there was no one on the road except for two cars and a water truck. Pretty epic having a nice section of Hwy 1 all to yourself. On the way up only stopped once and got a pic of these guys, I think they were waiting for breakfast to wash up on the beach down below.

Once I got to the road closure I pulled up in front of the Road Closed signs and the CHP Officer rolled down his window and I politely ask if I could
take a pic there. He said "No, park in front of me". So I did being a law abiding citizen.
And that big white rock apparently is a favorite bird "poop" spot.

Friday to *$ with Budman to meet the group. @CyberNate, @RT_Russ, and @planegray joined me for a jaunt to San Simeon via Carmel Valley and Lake Nacimiento. I really enjoyed this route as it had a good mix of technical and sweeping roads. Distance: 263 miles.

Saturday was intended to be a loop via Pine Mountain Club. The gluttons for punishment who joined me in this ride were @CyberNate, @NoneMoreBlack, and @planegray. We got to enjoy some really fun roads including Tepusqeut Road and East Camino Cielo. Unfortunately, Hwy 33 was closed by the time we made it to Ojai so we opted to do the same route in reverse minus East Camino Cielo. Again, a good mix of technical and sweeping roads. Distance: 377 miles.

For the journey home today (Sunday), I opted to reverse Friday's route to pick up Hwy 1 and head up and over the Santa Cruz Mountains. Super fun ride! Distance: 283 miles.

🤣🤣🤣, he was in the restaurant drinking coffee.

A key wouldn't work bc the chain was engaged. We had gone out the sliding door and it locked as well. Tonight the maintenance guy asked how out run was to which I replied "well, my door isn't locked." 😂

We thought that he probably was pulling off and the unlevel surface got him.

Short video clip of the diving pelicans at San Simeon pier. Turn up audio! Didn’t see whales, but it’s a good viewpoint when they’re nearby
