Santa Clara County Lockdown

Whammy is just amazed at the amount for looking over the shoulder and fear the monkeys of Teh Barfs has.

1. we aren't under martial law.
Any military that might be seen right now is up to one of two things.
Moving mobile hospital equipment/ supplies
Or they are transporting food to areas beyond 200 mile radius of our local food distribution centers I.E. Safeway, Savemart, Foster Farms yada yada.
Seems the bay area and so cal communities have been hoarding to the point where the distribution centers cant service outside areas fast enough.
2. The police have had AR's for some time now.

Bad guys have them so why shouldn't the police play on an equal playing field?

Go watch some entertaining tv ppl like some old re runs of ......... sanford and son. We could all use a good laugh.

Made me think of what I have on hand,
Honeymooners
Laugh in
Smother Bros.
Bob Hope vietnam shows
Woodstock
Monterey Pop '67
MC/biker, On any Sunday to Sonny Barger leading 2 strokes across the desert

Joey Heatherton for the win!!!

We are showing our age but yes whammy agrees!:thumbup.

Just finished 200 Laps @ IMS I'm going to take a break now from racing. Whammy is sore and tired!

I never could warm up to S&S, maybe should try again.

You know, bad guys have pressure cooker bombs, and chemical/biological weapons too.

But I take it these drones are not AR equipped, like in that FPSRussia vijeo...

This thread is still going? Good lord

Go out and ride if you want
Don't go out and ride if you want

The people riding are at their own risk. The people chastising them are at home and safe, so why care about what other grown men and women do

Yes, it's still going and thanks to valuable contributions like yours it will continue to do so.
I presume no one had a gun to your head when you clicked on it.

Yeah, I always remember her being on the Bob Hope specials, or Dean Martin shows and roasts, or on Flip Wilson when Lola Falana wasn't on... :laughing

(My father always took a particular interest in Joey because he was used as an extra in a movie she starred in that they filmed in Pebble Beach in '65.)

Good infographic (animated in link) on exponential growth and what happens when people stay at home

source: https://thespinoff.co.nz/politics/2...t-does-level-two-mean-and-why-does-it-matter/

From the graphic, that the person that goes on a solo hike or motorcycle ride, practices hygiene and satays 6 ft from other people is equivalent to staying home.

If everyone stayed home and only a select few of you precious people are out there solo riding, maybe, but why do you have that privilege and not everybody else?

Think bigger; not just what a person does, but what the entire population does. Think not personal risk, but population risk. Will it work if everyone goes for solo rides, solo drives, solo work, solo activities? Is it better for "everyone" to avoid non-essential travel, or free for all?

That is exactly the opposite of how risk works in a transmissable disease situation. The person who has a mild case or is asymptomatic puts everyone else at risk while not increasing there personal risk at all.

But still riskier. :dunno

Disclosure: I am guilty of going on a ride, but it was to check my mail and hit the store... via the long route.

I've been riding almost everyday it hasn't rained. I've been doing DoorDash deliveries on my Light Bee making good money not burning any gas also. Transportation of food and people is essential. Went to Frys Electronics today to buy some BD-Rs, electronics goods must be essential also as Frys is still open.

The line at acme was short and people kept their distance from one another. Everything seems to be alright so if you've been cooped up in your house for a while and are nervous about what's going on there's no need to worry about society crumbling just yet.

Acme is open? You just made my day! :)

Travel is allowed for exercise. Just don't go to a crowded place like the beach. This is not "lock down". Shelter in place is a bad description also.

Wonder how many small business that were forced to close agree with you?
