Selling car, got fix-it ticket, now what?

Okay, so I got a slightly riced out Civic that I was going to un-rice this week to be sellable (word? Don't care). This morning I got pulled over for my god damn exhaust. The CHP officer said something will come in the mail within 2 weeks so I can get written off. But I want to sell my car THIS week. He said I should call the courts and ask...I said he should just give me a break..."can't do that."

So, do I have to wait for this form in the mail before I can sell it? I wonder if I could get the process expeditited somehow...thoughts?

Your going to be receiving a courtesy notice in the mail stating the amount you will have to pay if you get it signed off and the amount you have to pay if you don't. You can get the ticket signed off now so that you can sell the car. There is a space on the back of the ticket for signing officers name. Then you can wait for the courtesy notice and send in your signed off ticket with the $10.00 fee they will probably be asking for.

You can get it signed by any officer after you put ur stock parts back in and then pay at a court instead of mailing it if you are in a hurry. You don't even need to wait for the mail, just get the ticket signed and presented to a cleak at the court.
