The best way to avoid traffic is to turn up at the carpool lane on the BB toll plaza at exactly one minute to seven. Earlier, and the traffic's worse. Later, and you have to queue forever to hand stinking CalTrans your hard earned three bucks. Trust me on this - I commute that way every day. And the traffic doesn't calm down very quickly after seven, so you're just giving yourself a longer wait at the toll booths for no benefit until about eight o'clock.

I get home at about 7:15 every night. Might be earlier on Wednesday...

Not to dis on Cancun (not that I could) but to its credit, Taqueria La Morena in SSF is, dare I say, good-on-par with some of San Francisco's best taquerias.

Yes, including Cancun.
