+1, insoles are the real game-changer. Good arch support > paddingFind out what sort of insoles you should be using and put them in any shoe that fits.
I recently got a pair of Tread Labs carbon insoles. They’ve turned a pair of Nike Dunks into good walking shoes. Sure I can be more comfy for longer in my Saucony Endorphins. But it’s crazy how much the gap was closed by good supportive insoles.
Coincidentally my toes are screaming from new narrow boots, they cut this one wrong, same pair I always wear. Faux leather hiking boots for the moto.Hokas tend to be on the narrow side. I couldn't find a pair that would fit my EEE feet.
SOLE have different thickness and are heat moldable (spelling sorry). They also make some with a cork bed which I use in my hiking boots.I also like SOLE insoles, arch support like whoa and very good shock absorption but they're very very thick and not as bendy as Superfeet
