If a ride became available in a European Championship series or a Moto2 series, should he take it?

What would staying longer in AMA Pro Series provide for him?

Yes, I feel strongly that Cameron should find a way to get back on the world stage. Moto2 would be the perfect place for him if he could find a comptetitive ride.

He's got the skill, he seems to be learning how to pace a race and go for the kill at the end and he has shown that he isn't afraid to mix it up and rub some elbows to get a position, which is something he will definitely need in Moto2. Those boys are aggressive!

If this is what he really wants to do, then I think he needs to get over there and compete at the next level. Guys in Moto2 are getting more looks and more oppurtunities for GP seats than any other avenue. Just my opinion of course, but it seems logical based on what I've seen happening out there at present.

I think Yamaha has held back his development by keeping him in DSB. He should have been in SBK this year fighting with Hayes. I wonder what Yamah's plans for him are going forward. Have him replace Hayes as the next AMA SBK Champ? Do they have a seat for him on a Sat Bike in GP for 2015 or 16?

he needs to get to gp asap.he's got a couple a guys he has to beat in ama,in moto 2 it would be about 25.the longer it takes for him to get over there the harder it will be-the competition just gets younger and faster and they grow up on those tracks.AMA superbike would be a career dead end for him i think.

F'shizzle, without a shizzle of a dizzle.

YES, yes he does.

its probably going to be a really really hard decision... leave his current paying gig (not many people can say that) for lesser equipment in a more difficult championship elsewhere OR stick around and hope a quick SBK championship before hes 21 gets him noticed. we cant expect Yamaha-N.A. to do anything internationally, so hes gotta leave them no matter what. y not do it now...

i think he could find or fund a ride in CEV Moto2 at the very least. itd prob take him 2yrs because that championship is fast on their home turf, but hes got a way better shot at getting noticed by a paying team in any other championship over there... instead of wasting away his talent in AMA.

tough question - getting a paying ride overseas is seemingly impossible for an American now-a-days. Cam just bought a house and it appears he is looking to settle down. Not sure I disagree with his decision. If he can dominate over here on a paying ride while continuing to progress...

Not sure how long Hayes will be around for and Herrin is improving every round so I don't see Yamaha changing up their SBK talent anytime soon.

It would be nice to see him move on... But really kid is young and making money right now. If he moves onto Europe the money will probably not be as good if any and the ride may not be the best.

What I would do... AMA for a couple more years two max to stack paper. But plan europe in a way that allows me to come back to the best ama bike and team if things don't work out in Europe. The over seas venture should take more than two years to figure out if its worth it or not. The good thing is he is young.

mebbe he could room with the Alonzos & make a run at a selected Spanish 'ship

I'd vote stay with Yamaha USA where he is kicking ass and hopefully getting paid well too. Moto2 is no joke, you either have a top-notch bike and team or you're in 20th place.

Dang, seems like just last year that he was in the RedBull Rookies Cup...

If not Moto2, then BSB. Race overseas when you're young, retreat to the AMA when you get older and can't find a ride amongst the sea of 13 year old Spaniards and Italians.

Ya' know, with both AMA Superbike Yamaha factory seats filled, where else could Cam' go?

I would love to see him racing Moto2, or at the very least, WSBK Supersport class. Just makes perfect sense, to me.

+1

Then after I would like to see him in WSS kicking Kenan Sofuoğlu's ass. :cool

Then SBK --> Factory ride in MotoGP.

I disagree, maybe we should look at WSBK. Remember DiSalvo and Davies on the same team but at opposite ends of the time sheets ?

PJ Jacobsen is also doing pretty well in BSB Superbike, he qualified on the front row at Outon Park last Friday and got finishes in 6th and 7th over the weekend

IMO, Cam has more talent than both of those guys put together.

some Americans can def do well in Europe. but racing is a team sport and going over there without any help is just going to keep you out of the points. im glad to see that Tommy and PJ have been able to find the right teams.
