Does anywhere in the East Bay stock these? I'd like to try one on. I like my Arai Vector, but I am not in love with it. I too was a Bell guy back in the day.

The Bell Star is a Long Oval head shape, much like the Arai Profile. Bell took all the best ideas of all the best lids to date (mostly the Shoei X-11
) and made them smoother, lighter...better.The lid is light, buffets wind very well, has a great field of view, easy to use visor (yeah I'm talkin' to you Arai guy
) and comes with a plush bag, a second set of firmer pads and a track strip to "modify" the rear spoiler for more downforce during those 180mph straightaway spurts.I heard they're down on inventory until the next batch (a couple months away) but the stores that have 'em already have 'em. I know Cycle Sector down south (BARF sponsor) will ship 'em for free.
BTW, they run larger than Shoei and Arai, so if you're a medium in an X-11 or RX-7 Corsair, you should get a small Bell Star. Try one on at your local store before buying

Joe, correct me if I'm wrong, but this is the only one they do in CF. You can't just get a plain CF one right?

I'm fairly certain this is the only one they do where you can see the CF.
Other Bell helmets, although made in part with CF, doesn't show thru as part of the finnish. Ir you want the Cerinske, take note: There are two Cerinske's one Black on white and the other White on black. The White on black is the only one that shows the CF. The black on white does not.

So, then how does the Profile compare to the Vector?? Anyone know? I think the Vector is a long oval, too.
I wear a medium Vector and it fits killer. But, I dislike the fact it has no notchy visor thingy (were you can open it just a notch and it stays there), the nightmarish sheild mechanism, and it is pretty damn noisy.
Plus, I think the Bell Star looks awesome.
