Our favorite campground used to be Mono Village, after twin lakes, off Bridgeport. It usually fills up by July 4th and during Labour Day there are already plenty of spaces. You can always take Hwy 88 if the other passes are still closed. Outside summer temperatures drop during the night, uncomfortably low (freezing) if you have the wrong gear. Winter Bridgeport sees -20.
