Signatures...and quotes

I want to state/request a couple of quick things. This has been discussed within the Mod Core and pretty much we all agree.

1. I would request that you start to limit the size of your signatures.

THE GIANT Letters are certainly annoying to some and I have been contacted by a lot of folks that are tired of seeing a two word post and 5 inches of sig lines. Some of these have been sponsors of the board that are paying to help us

2. I also want to make it clear.. that putting someone else's quote in your sig without permission in a negative way will be construed as baiting if the individual quoted contacts the mod core requesting removal. Therefore subject to the TOS applications.

The new software package will automatically limit the dimensions you will be allowed to use for signatures... so this is coming and I just wanted to ask if you could start some of those limitations as good will. If you take note in my sig of the race team sponsors.. I had changed them to show horizontally rather than a vertical line up. As such:

MOM
DAD
SISTER
PETER
PAUL
MARY....

Vs. MOM/DAD/SISTER/PETER/PAUL/MARY

This is not a bandwidth problem just a deal to make barfing a little better.
Some pages will be saved... but that is really not the deal. It is about getting to content rather than large graphics that are intrusive or spamish in nature.

5. Repercussions

1. At any time, Moderators may contact a Member by Private Message, email or other means and request that said Member no longer post personal attacks, bait or flame other members, postwhore or troll. They may also request that a Member edit or remove a post due to text or images they posted, edit or remove an Avatar or title, or edit or remove an item in their signature. If a Member does not comply a Moderator may take action according to section 5.2.

2. At any time, Moderators may edit or remove a post, edit or remove an Avatar or title, or edit or remove an item in a Member signature line if such content violates the Terms of Service.

3. At any time, Moderators may temporarily suspend a Member account for violating the Terms of Service. While suspended Members will not be able to post to the forums, but will be able to PM Moderators. After discussion with other Moderators the Member account may be reinstated or banned as the Moderators see fit. In most cases, a first offence will result in a 24 hour suspension, a second offence will result in a 7 day suspension, a 3rd offence will result in a 30 day suspension and a fourth offence will result in a permanent ban from the forum. Duration of suspension and number of offences may be changed at the discretion of moderators on a case-by-case basis.
