SJ Cop Killed in moto accident??

I heard a news clip that said a 19 year veteran hit a truck and was killed this morning...Anyone hear about this???

Just caught a snippet of it.

The report you heard could have been this incident, which involved an off-duty SJ cop and his wife. They were killed in the foothills west of Sonora when a car turned left across their path from a side road.

A co-worker of mine (who rides) actually saw the aftermath of the accident. He said it was gruesome, "turned my stomach". Apparently they were wearing typical Harley-esque gear.

To think that you spent years being exposed to all kinds of dangers as a motocop and you get taken out while you're on a pleasure cruise. That bites!

You know what irks me about the "I didn't see him" comment is this: It's taken at face value.. truly how many people do you think would admit they saw the rider? Even if they thought the rider was farther away and misjudged speed etc? or under any other circumstances?
