Hey Jumper!
Thanks for doing all the legwork and getting us a great deal! My schedule is open anytime after the weekend of April 16th up until Memorial Day weekend.
I think the camping out idea will be lots of fun, especially if we can get a good group together. Gives me an excuse to air out all my camping gear! :blush

If you did not want to do a tandem it would be 8 hours of ground school and more like $200. Also, you would need to be there WAY early on Sat. It is possible if you are really interested, e-mail me at AGuler@nelsonstaffing.com

But for most, I suggest a tandem unless you have already done that. You don't need to bring anything but you should wear comfortable clothes and tennis shoes. If you are camping out, obviously you will want stuff, and you can never have enough beer, although we can make a run when we get there.

ok, I am looking into dates!

Just fyi... I love the way on this clip they fail to mention a couple of key points.

#1 The student pulled his cut-away handle before the instructer pulled his chute (not recommended)

#2 He has on an ADD (automatic activation device) that would have made his reserve shoot deploy regardless of whether or not he did anything else at about 1000 feet.

Every single student and tandem has one of these so the idea of HAVING to pull or hitting the ground is a little unrealistic, but I guess it makes videos like that sell!

I'd post some cooler video for you guys to see, but I need someone to host it that I can e-mail it to. Anyone, anyone?

I went w/ trashpuppy a couple years ago.

About the time I was sitting at the edge of the door with my legs hanging out, I realized that jumping out of a plane isn't a very smart thing to do. :wow
Then all of a sudden, the instructor just leans forward, and we fall out. At that moment, falling out of the plane, looking straight down at the ground, your heart just stops. :wow :cool

Yup, change in velocity after exiting the plane was a bitch. Makes a rollercoaster drop seem like a jump off the bottom stair, but after that first second it's all good.

Wussies:laughing :laughing

Wolf...nice body position! Your balls aren't on your chest though:laughing :p
