I have been wearing gold toe white athletic socks for years. excellent, long lasting and elastic stays up.

now I read that they changed manufacturing and completely suck now.

alternatives?

those are the best athletic socks I ever owned.
 
Gold Toes FTMFW... I have them in 3 flavors; black, gray, and white.

I just bought some new ones earlier this year and I don't notice any difference. I did buy what they now call "fluffy", they are thicker.

Sorry Beau, I was in SLO few weeks ago, but it was kinda late in the evening or I would've checked out your shop.
 
i'm wearing my gold toe socks with my sandals right now..they compliment each other...:cool
 
Gold toe athletic crew length. Black only. Any other color just wouldn't jive with the rest of my wardrobe :laughing

Hanes athletic (if you really need a different color for the toe area, the white socks have a grey toe area)

mine "kind of" stay up, but i say that with "" cuz my calves push them down part-way.

Nothing I've used has held up like gold toe. Even the new gold toes that aren't quite what they were are better than anything else I've worn. I like smartwool, but I can't justify shitting the dough, outside of snowboarding socks.
 
For me they have to be cotton. I've tried the smartwool and wasn't liking.
My seem happiest in Ecko socks.

I was checking out the smartsocks and noticed they are 16 bucks. Is that for 3 or just 1 pair? I am down to upgrade my footwear anytime. I really enjoy my CK socks but wool socks just sound awesome.
