SOLD

$2500 OBO CASH ONLY

Title Status: CA Non-op title.

I am offering this very special one-off custom motorcycle to some select groups before advertising to the masses.

This is one of Julian’s Dirtbag Challenge creations. The frame is RZ350. It is heavily modified and could not be brought back to standard.

The engine cases are RZ350 and the top end is banshee. I do not know what bore the top end is on. I do not know when the last time the engine has been started.

Must be picked up in Livermore close to LLNL.

Anybody know if this was the prototype for his RD400 build? Can’t say I recall this one.

That RD400 bike was built before the RZ. It will be for sale some time soon.

Although I never met Frame Maker, I enjoyed reading his post's and going through his build threads. All of his builds look like a blast to ride.

Julian was a fu*king genius and one of the nicest, smartest, most talented and most humble guys you could ever meet. His vision and execution was on another level.
And his stuff WORKED! I miss him. I wish I had the space to house one of his creations.
Years from now I hope he becomes as famous as he should be.
Equally remarkable, he got all of his creations registered and plated.
Thanks Ken for everything you do.

$2100 OBO Title in hand.

Thanks for the nice comments and yes he was a genius.

Auntie please!!!!
The only downside is that I got to see What's Left and on some level it's down to leftovers. One must understand that the leftovers are still cooler bikes and better examples of imagination incarnate than I've ever pulled off or anyone I know. I wish I had room for one or 2 more

Whatcha gonna do with it? Seems wide open, bare minimum and just ride it, or blow it apart and powdercoat stuff, or maybe some type of plating, etc. Anyone know if he had any other plans for it?

All indications are that Julian mothballed it properly.

So

I'm going to see if I can get it going and take it for a spin. Maybe 2 spins. Check status of.my underpants (not a 2 stroke person nor a particularly fast rider). And probably mothball it again for a fairly long time. It's a sculpture as well as being a motorcycle imo.

It's a dirtbag bike made to do dirtbag things so paint and prettying seems weird.... But nickel plating that front end would be pretty cool. There may be a light preservative on the bare metal as is because in the 2+ years since it was last registered there isn't any obvious rust. A wipe down with wd40 is probably worse for now
