Awww... makes me home sick!

It makes me just plain sick. As someone from Vermont who's spent 5 years in Boston and NYC respectively, I'd just like to say

To each his own. :)

Valgar, welcome back to CA! I am following in your footsteps, on my way to visit my family via Route 80. Made it to Iowa today (what a boring state!!!).

See you when I get back!

I also noticed you haven't called me for bail yet. Behaving yourself, not gotten caught, or just able to handle it with petty cash? :laughing

Actually I gotta come clean on one thing.

There was a moment...

Where some biker blew past a highway unit at 30 over the limit.

Then proceeded to lanesplit between trucks, then make for an exit, park behind a motel, cover his bike, and get a room.

Not sure who that biker was, but he was a real prick...

Iowa? Nice and flat, eh?

Driving or riding?

I think its a HD from ww2

Close, it is a 1954 Harley Hummer 165...

It still runs, but needs new rings (burns oil), and new rubber.

Damn.
Didn't I teach you anything?
In that situation, you park the bike in the room! :laughing

(I did the clutch on my RD400 in a room at the Sleazy 8 Motel on El Camino one time. I don't think they minded the oil spot on the carpet too much, but I never did hear from the girl that rented the room again. Is a 2 1/2 foot puddle still considered a "spot"? )

Driving :( I made the mistake of telling my cousin I would drive her car back east for her when she moved...

So far on my drive, I have seen hundreds of motorcyles, and 2 sportbikes. :laughing Oh, and the no helmet law in some of these states totally freaks me out... I would love to know the statistics on head injuries in states like Iowa, Illinois, etc.

Anyway, glad to see you got back safely, and I cannot wait to buy you a beer when I am back in Cali.

Didn't see this when it was originally posted. Caught the reference from General.

Very fun thread. It almost felt like I was along for the ride.

Hmm... Sometimes, I have to remind myself to rest my hand. It is so normal for me to be covering brake.

This really gave me the chills. Not because of the cold, but because I have been in similar, very sketchy, circumstance.

Thanks again for the share. Just a few moments late. :twofinger
