What the fuck?

I dropped by 3 tattoo places today and none of them were busy and none of them would even start an outline of my avatar. :mad

They all said dropin's welcome and I got quoted 100 & 200 bucks for something I can draw myself. I was thinking like 50 to 75 $.

All I want is my avatar with a red circle and a sprot bike jacket about 3 to 4 inches around.

I guess I need to go to SF or Santa Cruz.

Anyone got a gun I can borrow?

As the popularity of tats increases the cost goes up across the board. A buddy tells me the going rate is ~175/hour most places. Ouch

Kill Hipsters and the prices go down.

If you've got a bigger image of your avatar Sir Jim, I think I'll be able to work on an outline for you so you can screw around with it.

My guy is $100 minimum, for opening everything new and clean for you...for what its worth..he does a great job.

hes in SF...

what about Droopy? he does it for free, and his pics are awesome

Hell, if you go teach Droopy how to attach a pic to a post, he might do the whole thing for free. Seems like a nice guy, that's the route I'd take if I was to get another tat.

Wait til the convention comes to SF or Sac, I'm sure you could get it done pretty cheap there cuz they like doing small pieces.

Temple Tattoo in OAKLAMD is supposed to do awesome work.

Freddy Corbin at Temple did a couple of mine and even desighned one for free, the tat cost $. He works kinda slow but he's awsome and I guess kinda famous. I heard theres a wait to get him though.:)

BTW: think I can make this a sport bike? (my elbow's at the bottom)

Probably depending on what your willing to cover it up with. I have a cover up and they're usually more expensive than a regular tatt.:)

+1 on Goldfield's. I haven't had anything new in years, but they're the only place in the US that I'll go anymore. I've got mostly older sailor stuff, for obvious reasons...
