We have just come to an agreement with SPOT Inc. to provide their system to Barfers at a discount rate. :banana There will be a barf specific page on their site in about a week, but I know some of you have been contacting them to ask about it already via the 1Rider program.

The barf dealio is 149.99 for the unit and 6 months free tracking. Nice!

I should get one for me for my moto trips :ride and one for my parents because they like to do a lot of kyacking in the willderness.

They once saw a forestfire start across the lake from them when they were out in some wilderness but with no way to noify the Forest Service, one day paddle back to civilization and nobody ansered the marine band radio. I would hate to think what they would have to do if something happened to them.

I got one a few months ago before my trip thru Baja. Love it! I'll take advantage of the 6 months free tracking when I renew...

I love my SPOT and would totally recommend this to anyone that rides solo or just for a piece of mind to your family/friends. :thumbup
