i dunno. pretty mediocre report. it could have been skewed a lot worse. typical media scare tactics about the accident and the intestine removal and using words such a blood-chilling. at least the riders made some good point.

fuck performing at a circus though unless the $ was good, forreal :p

Yeah, I would have to giv ethe media an "Ok" rating for that report, they didn't bash all riders or all stunners.

They could of had a field day with the report.

stuntin is just in that painful point of transition that bmx, freestyle, and skating have gone through. first everyone gets arrested, then everyone gets burnt in the media then it starts to blow up then we stop being public and do all the competitions then we get mad $$$ the media will burn us for awhile and then the reports will be passe and then the only thing left to report on is how much money we make and how the latest ps2 stunnin games have sold.

just got to hold on and push it like tony hawk, mirra, hoffman and all the others have.

At least they stated that the 5-0 haven't had any reports of the the bikes hitting cars. (still in the process of dling the vid.

Everyone is out to make a buck, that goes for the stunters and the media, who is to say which is worse? That report could have been much more slanted and I still can't believe the cop was as cool as he was. "It's not without possibility that these riders are in controle of their bikes" wow.

Personally I think crap like that makes life harder on all motorcyclists. If you want to stunt fine. If it gets you off cool. If you need to juice your ego by pulling stunts in front of freeway traffic well you are lame and mommy should have shown you some more attention when you were little.
I have no beef with stunters. It's a skilll and a hard one to learn at that. If a group of guys wants to meet somewhere out of the way and try to top each other with a new trick or stunt no problem. For christ sakes though don't piss off cagers and the cops to the point where legislation becomes inevatable.(sp?)

I like this statement by the cops. :x

If they want to put their own lives at risk that is their choice. However, we want to make sure everybody including them is safe.

Isn't this what they call an oxymoron. Emphasis on the MORON??? :x

Bill Dixon with the Streetfighterz says, "We're on wheelies on the highway going straighter than people on cell phones, and trying to change radio stations. We have way more control."

CAN I GET A HEEELLLLL YA!!!! and an AMEN BROTHA!!!!!!

I dunno, one of the problems that we always had growing up skating was that a few dumbasses screw things up for everyone. Now, by that, I don't mean people getting hurt. Everyone gets hurt. I mean the people that like that run their mouth's and get all up in arms about things, thinking they're Vin Diesel in F n F or some shit. You got the hang, Stillart. Lay back and time will show everyone what's up, but there are all those people still out there who are all "In our world, it's about respect..." blah blah blah and treating it like it's a rebellious thing instead of a sport. That's all it is. Extreme sports are always hated on for years and years as they grow, then the next thing you know every asshole with his driver's license will be wearing an Ohlins shirt and talking about how his brother's girlfriend's cousin's friend has a GS500e and it's all about "the lifestyle".

I dunno, i think it's all about laying low for awhile and not letting the press and conservatives get you down, but not also going hyper-rebellious. Just do your shit, shutup, and bide your time.

Werd.

actually "bro" my moms showed me a lot of attention. when i get a drag strip to practice on you wont see me on the freeway ever again, until then, i'm gonna make do with what i got, freeways are some the straightest and greatest to stunt on.

my bad. hehe. Actually, that's a good idea. God knows skateparks furthered the sport. We need some cash to buy a big peice of tarmac... figure $20 a day and a liability waiver should do the trick...

Uhhh, I don't think they let you just go back and forth and practice your stunts... and on top of that, they're only like two lanes wide.

and yeah let me ride like 6hr to get some stuntin in.

first of all, we always hit up swcluded backroad type parking lots etc. freeway time is maybe 5% of all our stuntin. so when we do do the highway that one day every thre emonths i think we'll be okay. we're not gonna kill people

our vdeo says we're profesisonals so we must be :teeth :thumbup

did ya'll miss this part the first time around? :confused :burnout

no we just missed the part where someone said that the people who never stunt should be able to tell us when the best time for us to stunt is. there are only three people i let tell me what to do when it comes to stunting and thats the three guys who ride with me and have much more time under their belt.

one day everyone has to come to an agreement but we speak about our hobby while everyone else speaks about what we should and should not do. doesnt work liek thta unfortunately.

Well herein lies the problem. What Mike is saying that pretty soon there will be a fourth person in the equation. . .BIG DADDY GOVERNMENT. It's all good until the ability to buy a bike will be not so easy due to laws and legislation and alot of other crap.

Its the same thing as legal law abiding citizen that own firearms are being penalized because a few fuck head criminals go out and blast sombody insted of shank or beat w/ a blunt object. Well you get my point.

It reflects on US as a whole. This is the root of all the anti-stunting. Joe blow that want to buy a VFR is gonna get penalized because of a few people that gave the sport a bad name.

Now no one is pointing fingers it's just an opinion. . .and ya ya ya opinions are like. . .well you know what, however it will still not change the fact that the cattle (cagers) of society will group everyone in the same catagorey. "If you ride a bike then you are evil"

There are arguments for both sides. I personally love stunters and always will. They have a skill that I will never have.

I think what the majority of people want is for stunters to be a little more reasponsible. Doesn't sound quite right does it ;) However stunting has come so far in the past years the the next inevitable step has to be for stunt parks. Now wouldn't THAT be cool.

OK I'm done, peace out :cool

Man talk about misisng th point. Look do whatever the fuck you want. I don't care if you get cremed by a semi on 85 or not. What I do care about is people ruining our sport by being completely stupid. If you can't regulate yourself at some point someone else is. Would you rather have pepole who ride bikes, like me and you, regulate our activities or do you want to wait untill freeways, twisty roads and any other fun place to ride are closed to motorcycles?

As a stunter arn't you pissed that some ding dong is out giving interviews to reporters? How dumb can that guy be? If I wanted to do somting I knew was illegal or could possibly be banned why on earth would I want to publicize it?

When I ride I speed, A LOT! now if joe blow reporter steps up to me and wants to make me Mr. Extreem Street Racer I am smart enough to tell them to fuck off. Why? Because by thumping my chest in front of a camera I am endangering the sport I love. THATS RETARTED. Now maybe this didn't come across in the origional post and I should have elaborated, I was assuming people would be on the same page with me but I won't make that mistake again.
Stunt riders are still riders and if I ever have enough $$$ to wad bikes all the time I want to learn to pull some tricks but even then I know enough not to bring attention to myself.

The ontly real problem I have is a few dumb asses spoiling things for everyone else. I never said that was anyone here, I really am surprised you took offense whats up with that?
