I want to put some stomp grip on my 05' GS500. Ive heard that the SV650 one might work. Anyone have experience with this? I'll settle for a decent alternative product.

You can buy it in sheets.. problem is, cycle gear wants way too much for it. Like $95 or something outrageous.

tech specs make a universal set. its a big blank sheet and you cut your own. ive done that for one of my bikes before. worked out good!

Stomp grip sells some universal sportbike cut kits. I don't recall the specific packaging name, but I have it installed on my GS and it works well. No cutting was required, and it conformed reasonably well to the shape of the tank once I figured out the best orientation.

$45 for ONE sheet. It's a better deal to buy one specifically for a sportbike. That way it's still about $45, but you get two sheets that are closer to fitting properly.

Yeah see,, robbery.. nope.. don't need it that bad.. I'll squeeze harder and lock my heels in. $45 worth... :laughing

Thanks for all the input, I'll have to check out the Universal Sportbike kits. After reading another thread on here, I started to question my interest in StompGrip specifically as right now Im only riding the 500 on the street but am contemplating turning it into a track bike. But when I do ride it on the street, I ride it primarily in the twisties and will hopefully be wearing leathers (I only have textile overpants at this time). Thanks again. If anyone thinks of anything else, please pipe in.
