Stonyford: StonyBARF 10! Weekend of April 5, 2018

Everything about this makes me happy and sad. Happy that this idea butch and I had to have a dirty group camp out has become such a success and have brought everyone together to create such a great annual trip. I think it’s been almost 4-5 years of doing this now since the first snowy 12 degree trip. It saddens me that I haven’t been able to be a part of it in a while I haven’t swung a leg over my dirt bike since my last outing with you guys :( . Maybe this next one I’ll be doing it with my mini swingin one over a 50. I miss you all and hope to attend this as always. Thanks Rebekah, CJ and of course Butch for taking the torch and running with it and keeping this thing goin. Love you guys

That would be great to see you, even better if you have your kid on a 50 :ride These are trips are so awesome, thanks for starting them up! I'm happy to help continue them in whatever capacity.

Plus one! I hope you make the next one!

I broke my back in August but am going to try to make this if you still have space, myself, wife + child.

the site officially accommodates 75 folks; there has always been plenty of room.

Uh-oh... Conflict with the Sawmill Enduro at Cow Mountain.. I usually work Emergency comms at the Sawmill and missed it last year to do StonyBARF...

Change my status to TBD.. I need to make a decision...

So what you are saying is that last year you decided stonybarf was more fun. This year will be even better.

Just as a side note, but on that same weekend AHRMA is having their annual vintage trials, and scrambles just up the road a few miles north of Chrome. (a few miles north of Elk Creek) at the Burrows ranch. Lots of vintage British thumpers, grey haired geezers having a ball on old bikes. This is a wonderful event in its third or fourth year and getting bigger every year. Riders from Arizona, Idaho, Oregon, Washington and So Cal show up. Wonderful site for such a event with camping, campfires and luminaries from the vintage off road crowd from years past. If you need a blast from the past for a few hours, this is a good one. Ten bucks per person covers everything but riders class entry fees. Big fun to see grey haired geezers with big bellies, big thumpers and big smiles jiggling their way over rocks ,gullies and holes. Dirty Gold Stars, Matchless', Ariels. Enfields and other old leaky bikes beckon you.
