Stupid honda civic, stupid battery, stupid jump start

oh and the thing is the battery works fine as long as i drive it frequently, i dont need to buy a new batt every few months (at least i dont think/hope not)

Is it possible that you're slowly going deaf so you didn't have your stereo cranked as loud with your old battery? :p

And maybe with the high cost of gas you aren't driving as often or as far so the battery isn't getting a chance to properly charge? ;)

lol damn i do have a hard time hearing lol but when i turn my stereo up past 1/2 it hurts my ears and everything shakes.....damn wonder where i can get my battery/alternator checked

and how do i check my circuit charger?

get a voltmeter, run car to 2,500 rpm (or there abouts) and check the voltage across the battery terminals. Should be around 14.5v

If it's less either your generator circuit is faulty or something is drawing a LOT of power somewhere.

Do your headlights change brightness from idle to mid rpm?

I'd definitely do this before taking your battery or alternator out. It takes 10 seconds.

when you're at Kragen getting the alt checked, buy a battery terminal brush and get those terminals and plugs nice and shiny and screw them on nice and tight.

if you lived in the city i would test the batt for you. i got a $1500 battery tester sitting in my tool box.

Will it work on batteries that cost less than 1500 dollars?

i would hope so.

So the $1500 battery tester is false advertising, since it will test batteries that cost less than 1500 and more than 1500.

I feel sad that you were ripped off like that :(

lol well i got someone to jump the car (connected the wires for 1 min and i could start the engine)........eh i dunno such a strange problem.....
