SV motor in RVF Chassis Project

The current project bike
As if the composite work doesn't keep me busy enough, I've started another project - stuffing an SV motor into an RVF 400 chassis. Having owned a number of RVF 400s and SVs, it struck me as the perfect combination - a tiny little chassis with a built (80+ hp) twin.
The proof of concept came when I jacked an SV motor into a VFR 400 chassis I had laying around. Pic attached.
This essentially proved the motor could fit. The chassis is all set to take a V-based motor and the shock is already offset to the left to provide the rear cylinder(s) exhaust pipe clearance.
Heck, it's almost like it wanted the SV motor in the first place!
I've always liked the RVF better than the VFR and I was finally able to find a clean RVF roller. I've sourced the SV motor and now it's, once again, just a 'simple' matter of cutting a bit here, welding a bit there and I expect to have what to me is the perfect bike. Full carbon one off body work is planned...
I hope to make it a competitive Formula IV bike and will be looking to sponsor someone who would be interested in racing it.
Your comments, suggestions and constructive critisisms are, as always, appreciated.
More pics as I make progress.

Taking the project public eh? Definitely awesome. This was my favorite part about the last post though:

"The proof of concept came when I jacked an SV motor into a VFR 400 chassis I had laying around." :laughing

I got better idea for you, forget about 650,lets turn this in to rvfsv500.
I think we can even race this in 450 class due to loopholes in rules .lol.
we just need to cut and weld piece of cases where vin number is :)
paint it yellow and I will ride it and provide 500 motor.

i think if zoran is involved, i would be willing to provide zee pipe, you know? :nerd

or you could just sell me the motor and roller for $14.99

Let's see...last time Zoran replied to one of my posts, I ended up doing a carbon tank. Now it seems I'm going to build him a race bike!

Seriously Zoran, I'm not tied to the 650 motor so if you're serious, let's talk. I like yellow, too...

it is easy for me,as always you get short end :)
I already have motor.Jonb has pipe.
we are waiting on you :)
I am building sv500 for me out of 03 sv650.it is fuel injected, not carbed.once you done all we need to do is bolt my motor and wire harness with FI on your bike.
500 twins championship number 2 on the way.

Its amazing how much Zoran's posts reflect what he is like in real life. I'm sure that he has a dedicated cult that follows his wishes in some remote desert location. If it weren't for that constitutonal stipulation he would be president.

I have a complete '03 motor, FI, harness, etc. That was the planned motor but trial fitment suggests the front throttle body assy interferes with the left frame spar as it curves in toward the steering head. So I'm thinking flatslides.
And it'll need early valve covers as the '03 has those emmission control vents - and the rear one interferes with the frame...
So. the big question is:
Any chance you can win with carbs?;)

Well I can see I'm out of the running now for the VTR ride. :cry :cry Guess I'm still on the green bike, yellows not my color anyway.:teeth

Who says I only have one chassis? :shhh
If sponsoring one rider is good, then campagining a team must be even better...

That is a very cool project. Clean FZR400 in the background makes the pic even better.

I love you *cry*

Agh.

That is too cool.

I have a bunch of questions I'd love to ask you about how to get your hands on these chassis, given that you've got so many grey market bikes.
