SV motor in RVF Chassis Project

Chris, looks good :) Got any spare FI'd SV motors you can part with? :D Just kidding. As soon as I un-phuq my home PC I will post a string on my SV progress. The bike actually rolled out of the garage yesterday and saw daylight! More to come... hows the veggie truck?

This is a really cool project.

Here in Sweden they just started a new class in RR - BoTT (Battle of The Twins. This would be a really cool bike to compete with :)

No real progress of note. Been busy with the SV and 748 projects.

Some news that may cause a small delay (or complete refocus) on this project is a friend of mine has a KTM 950 that he wants to sell. I'm going to measure the engine as it's narrower V-angle may have it workable as a fit in this chassis! But even if it can 'fit' there are other considerations:
For example, the narrower angle means the induction system sits higher...but how cool would this be? Two big, honkin' velocity stacks poking up through the gas tank! Sort of a Can-Am car look on a bike.

We shall see...But in any event, it's clear the madness is alive and well in my world.
More as we get focused on this project.

Too big a tire, wheel was just sitting on the axle - not tightened...all sorta reasons. Plus the whole thing will go to GP Frame and Wheel for the 'once over' before it runs so I'm not even at the point of worring about little things like alignment.
Looking at swapping in a TZ250 swing arm and wheel, too! I have plenty of single sided swing arms in my life already, but well see.
 
Well first off I have to say I'm very impressed with all your work so far. :)

As someone with RVF400's and an SV650 I had to join just to ask if anything has happened on this?

The update is:
I sold / traded my SV/MV and just sold the bike I took in partial trade - making this the only bike-related distraction I own.
I finally got my shop built (pic attached) so I have a wonderful work environment - critical for the creative process.
A buddy is moving his mill and other machine shop tools here in a couple weeks so I'll have all the needed aparati.
If all goes according to plan, we should be fabricating in anger here pretty soon. The goal is to have this project running and de-bugged for next season. :thumbup
I found a great deal on giant roll of carbon fiber and I bought the nomex honeycomb so I'll finally be taking on the self supporting subframe tail.
Lots to do but finally getting to it.
As always, I'll post as I make postable progress.

I was worried it was a project too far and had been dropped, I tried fitting an NC35 frame over an SV650 engine myself and thought "That'll go but it'll need a lot of work" so much kudos in attempting it! :thumbup

Keep up the good work, I've very much enjoyed reading about your projects. :)
