Hey BARFers,

Finally encountering some zipper issues with my Dainese jacket, as seems to be more common than one would hope on a premium brand. On my jacket though, it's not the zipper pull but rather the zipper itself getting detached from the jacket - looks like the fabric has torn. Wanted to get thoughts on where I could get this fixed, preferably in the city.

As the photo shows, the metal portion that slides into the zipper pull has detached from the actual jacket.

Johnson Leathers fixed a Revit jacket for me. It had some stitching that came apart. It was probably 10 years ago.

Contact Danise for their recommendation.

Get in touch with Leather man in Vallejo. He can fix that, and inexpensively.

You can go to the Dstore in SF but they are just going to refer to Johnson Leathers. I have had the metal shoulder sliders replaced on two jackets. Both times after the parts came they had that shop do the install work. I also had a main zipper replaced on one of my older Dainese jackets there.:thumbup

Thanks for the tips everyone - looks like I'll be paying Johnson Leathers! I asked the Dstore for their rec on my leathers in the past and they referred me to Johnson, just wasn't sure if Johnson would also be good for textiles but sounds like they are!
