Last time I went through Bridgeport, Hays St. Cafe was closed permanently.

Last year, I had the worst steak of my life at the Bridgeport Inn. After taking the first horrendous, sour, chewy bite, I reached for my beer to wash it all away and got a mouth full of half beer / half line cleaner. After driving all the way up from LA, I was not a happy camper.

I think one of the most delicious Burgers I've ever had, was at St Charles Place, a brilliant old bar in Downieville. It was doubly special as everywhere else for seemingly 30 miles in every direction had run out of food, and it was specially cooked up by the owner. Top fella! Outrageously good riding around there, on and off road. And more bears than I've ever seen.

I rode about three hundred miles on Saturday and ate Arby's, does that count?

Shoulda stopped at jack in the box for a chintacosammich

When I ride, I ride, when I eat, I eat.
Occasionally the two activities intersect, but never over a cheeseburger :barf
