They keep showing this Rob Zombie movie on tha cable.

Glorifying satanic Texas psychopathics hippies with Lynrd Skynrd soundtrack?

Discuss.

They even throw a chainsaw massacre family mutant in thar.

William Forsyth. If ever an actor had the wrong name, it's that mook.

The blonde actually is cute but I keep thinking I have to hate her.

I don't know where they dug up the clown guy. Really. I mean, that is one freaky looking dude.

They strangely make a point to show a few scenes with cows in them.

Did ya cry when momma died in the jail cell?

I've watched it. Didn't like it. Retarded, creepy and just plain sick. It's on my short list of movies I've warned my kids not to watch.

Can't be worse than "House of 1000 corpses"

can it ?

Pretty depraved movie, even for those who are generally desensitized. The face skin placed over the woman's face...yikes.

It is depraved because it's so much rougher than Tarantino or Rodriguez movies, but those can be fairly gruesome as well. I just can't figure out what the deal is on that Zombie guy and I figured somebody here knows...

I like the part in the 2nd Sailor Moon movie where Luna, SailorMoon's black cat, gets turned into a human so she can go on a date with the astronomer she fell in love with.
I don't like gruesome

IIRC it was the "sequel" to House of 1000 Corpses. Never saw 1k Corpses movie, but I did watch The Devil's Rejects. Seemed much more along the entertainment gore category than horror, was easier to watch than some of the grindhouse stuff I've seen (Hobo with a shotgun comes to mind, bleh) and the blond chick IS hot - she's Rob Zombie's wife.

If you're worried about your kids watching it, you can always recommend a cartoon instead

I didnt like house of 1000 corpses, but i actually really liked devils rejects. Honestly its fairly tame compared to a lot of horror films. If youre horrified by that movie you dont watch much horror. I watched Martyrs recently and that made devils rejects seem like a disney movie.

See I'm the exact opposite. I loved House of 1K Corpses but didn't like Devils Rejects. Maybe to much realism? RZ movies are hit and miss. Like Lords of Salem. It was about witches. There were no lords. RZ tried to go back to his roots but ended up giving us some acid test horror instead. I think thats what he's trying to explain here-(possibly nsfw)

+1 on Rob Zombie's hit-or-miss directing career. I actually found his remake of Halloween to be really good.

I liked both of them I have heard that Rob was a fan of 70s horror movies and they were both a throw back to that.

House was the prequel, and if you watch them back to back, the basic goal of getting you to cheer for the "bad guys" is really well done. By the end of the Devil's Rejects you are almost rooting for them :thumbup

Anything that promotes hostility towards Christian values is a good thing. :)

Guess I gotta go download both and watch them back to back now that I'm done with finals. Haven't watched TDR since it came out.

Ive seen both House of 1000 Corpses, and Devil's Rejects.

I like Devil's Rejects a little more. Both were pretty twisted movies. Where he rips the dudes face off and puts it on the girlfriend....wont be getting that image outta my head for a while.
