Ok, SOS was on the short list. It was good.

turducken at another level?

Collard greens and North Carolina ice cream.
The brown gravy has me wondering what part of North Carolina.😉
Hope her family is ok.

Speaking of "amazing", these are, indeed, amazing:

I like these far better than Cinnabon. The Pillsbury canned rolls are, well, in a class by themselves.

But when you feel like telling your doctor, in detail, about how he can use your recent A1C lab results as a hygiene wipe, dig into a batch of these things.

Down here, they're $8-9 (we get them at Sprouts).

So worth, they're really, REALLY good, and cook up very nicely.

Oh, and when it says "Wrap the tube in a towel before opening", heed that, or you'll be cleaning cinnamon off of your ceiling and baseboards.
Thank you berth, I confirmed most of this today! I did suffer a premature release while reaching for the towel.

Glad to hear!

As a quick followup, they freeze very well. 15-20s in the microwave bring them right back to life -- assuming you don't just eat them all at once and collapse into a diabetic coma.

I updated the first post to include other food threads.
In regards to North Carolina, Elfin’s daughter was in the thick of it as a nurse. It was intense, but she is OK. Whole towns were wiped off the face of the Earth. Intense.

Mrs bought a Fred’s steak today. Looking forward to dinner tomorrow. Have not had one in a long time.

Speaking of Steaks.... I was on a business trip to Katy, TX, and I located a local butcher who vacuum packed/froze 4 steaks for me to bring back to CA on the plane. These steaks are AMAZING!!!!! The beef from the midwest is so much better than what we get here. I am going to cook the last of the 4 steaks. tonight. It is a Porterhouse. The other 3 were Ribeyes. They were like eating butter.

The name of the place is called Cherry Block Butcher. Their phone number is (346) 257-4566. I will be ordering some more very soon.

For those not in the know, lefty is definitely a meat expert. I might have to order some steaks.

Katy is about 3 hours away from me and only that long because getting through Houston sucks. I think they also have a round Table there that my daughter frequents seeing as I got her hooked on it from when we visit CA. I haven't tried the steaks from the local ranches around here yet but may just to see how it is. Rouses a local store here has a dry aged locker that you can get steaks from as well.

It is a pre rubbed and spiced specialty steak.

They look black when purchases and taste most awesome when cooked.

Available at Schaubs
