I have another pic that shows a tag on the frame but it is only a sequence of numbers. 69 or 46, take your pic :)
 
Wow. that steering head stock is gnarly. Its surprising to see how thin the castings appear to be. Or is it some sort of custom extruded tube?

I think that's Tim the Enchanter washing Rossi's frame ta see where the cracks are, so they can better determine why the Ducati moto gp bike sucks soooo bad. :laughing

That is Ducati's Moto GP bike fame. Originally just the small headstock portion was bolted directly to the engine.The engine became the frame as the swingarm was also bolted to the engine and ended the iconic run of Ducati using a trellis frame. Rossi did't care for it so they had a perimeter frame made out of aluminum made by a outside vendor in a more traditional fassion.
