The gun expert from the New York Times

I think it is tragically prophetic that a lunatic in AZ with a gun has become your Second Amendment Hero.

I think it is tragically prophetic that when you get an answer to the question you asked, you are ignore it and continue empty talk. :thumbup

Nahullo, it is OK to be afraid of guns.

Is there some 'strawman' check box we can unselect on you?

That's about the fourth argument you've attempted to have that wasn't there.

Where did I say it was the start of a revolution?

Answer: Nowhere.

I simply pointed out that Eldritch has a point -- it was devised to enable a revolution, should one become necessary:

That when things got so bad, that the populace en masse felt the only answer was to start over, that they would have the tools to do so. It was also designed to help prevent this outcome -- by discouraging government from becoming so oppressive they'd have to be killed, knowing the people would retain that power.

You should probably read up on our Founders ideas of what made a legitimate government. Hint: by the people, for the people, etc.

Anyway, nobody is suggesting it's the start of a revolution, or that we want to see it happen, or that he should have done this.

We're simply pointing out a truth that you are apparently uncomfortable with.
I just cant keep up with your contradictions… Again, help me understand, for this specific case, how the “people” of AZ decided this was a good idea? I keep hearing you note that the 2A is a tool to ensure the government does not rule the people with an iron fist (paraphrased, not a quote). Alright, no one on this thread seems to disagree with that statement (by all means, correct me if I am wrong). So tell me why the people of AZ voted for her? If the people were so fed-up with the government, why didn’t the folks in AZ vote for her Tea Party opponent?

If your argument is that every person has the right to bear arms so any person has the ability, and right, to shoot our political leaders when we don’t like them or their policies, then perhaps its not I that should do some more reading.

I just laugh at your paranoia.

Are you writing this from Starbucks or Peets?

Look at the history of the revolutionaries, like Che. He witnessed crushing poverty and exploitation on his travels, like what you see driving around Saratoga or Danville.

He lived in jungles for years, gathering support from campensinos, which is similar to leaving your condo to hand out flyers at Costco.

And all you want is to keep your tax rate from rising 1% and filling out a second form at the gun shop before purchasing your 14th handgun.

What you suggesting is how you are capable of committing a crime, not a revolution, and certainly not a popular revolution.

So how much is a "stockpile"? I would say that the libs answer would be anything over 0.

Apparently quite a few people believe the same thing - AmmunitionToGo.com is running mightly slow this morning.

Are you serious? Is this your idea of critical thinking? :wow

If this post is, in fact, legitimate I'm terribly sorry.

More strawmen, now I know you're trolling.

Have a nice day.
Come on, don’t go all but-hurt on me… man-up and answer the question. So tell me why the people of AZ voted for her? If the people were so fed-up with the government, why didn’t the folks in AZ vote for her Tea Party opponent? His actions were not actually based on any real political thought or goal – he was nuts, psychotic, out of his head. Kicked out of school until a shrink would say he was not a danger to himself or others. That someone would try to tie this shooter’s psychosis induced actions to the Constitution is more a reflection on their own personal desires and fears than this nut-job’s.

Second Amendment? Seriously? I wish to god I had been there with my Walther so I could have put the shit-bag down like the rabid dog he was. Call it my “revolution” or just a citizen’s right.

some of you guys need to be careful. If they can't get your guns, they'll get your speech. Being a 2A supporter will someday lead to you being on a 'screened' list so you can't even buy a gun. This is what they are attacking now..."how did this guy buy a gun with speech and views like his?"
