The Home Grower's Thread

Beautiful Jordan!

Trimmed a bunch of yellow leaves off one plant yesterday.

anyone willing to give some of their homegrown away? I'd like to conduct a quality experiment!
I got 2 flavor left over from last year, you can have samples from.

Getting some really nice frosty going! How many weeks is this strain? Ten? You've got a lot of nutrient burn and they're still really green. I'd make sure N is completely cutoff and also leave two solid weeks of flush.

It's week six of flower and there were 60 days veg.

The burn is only on the bottom leaves. Been watering with just water and base nutrients.

Thanks! WHen do you think I should start the flush?

So apparently if all I want is THC a 15-20 soak in alcohol or freezing both the alcohol and the bud before mixing is fine but the Magical Butter machine with some heat and time is good for extracting the rest of the oils and such which isn't necessarily a bad thing for flavor.

If it's ten weeks and you're at six, then I'd start two weeks from today.

Can you post the exact nutrients and ratios you're using?

for reverse osmosis water:

Si - 2ml / gallon
Fulvic Acid - 5ml / gallon
CalMg - 3 ml / gallon

For 5 gallons:
Si 10 ml
Acid - 60 ml
Cal mg - 15ml

This is my "base" which I've been using past few weeks an nothing else really since the initial burn.

Weird. So just minerals and no food. Was there any slow release granular stuff in the soil? Did you end up doing Mr B's?

Since you don't need the plant to absorb nutrients during the flush, non-PH'd RO water seems to make sense but I'd probably check it anyway.

2 weeks from now is when I have my calendar marked anyway as potential end of grow

I was just googling around about flushing with RO and came across this thread...

The 800ppm he cites is right in line with our water here. I only grow veggies and ornamentals but my friend the coffee shop boiler tech has been running around with a meter for 15 years. 700-900ppm, mostly calcium chloride, all over greater SD. Thanks CO river!

Horrible stuff to drink, we buy spring water when it's hot (like now) or run the distiller. The tap HHM is using must be pretty good overall.

I think you're doing good if you're planting a 1-2ft tall clone in mid-June and end up with a 6ft tall plant. If you want bigger, then get that clone 1-2ft tall in mid-May. And of course whatever you're using for a container plays a role. Digging out the ground and filling in with nice soil is best. Beds are good. Fabric pots are good too as long as the roots can get through. You can undersize the container, but you'll have to increase your schedule to keep it growing. I grew some 5-6ft tall plants in 20g pots, which is really like 4-5ft tall plants, but I they needed either water/tea/feed literally everyday.

Thanks byke! This is my 3rd outdoor season. All my prior experience is commercial indoors. I got a late start this season due to some health issues but happy to be back. First season outdoors I brought out plants in mid-May and they started to flower. Same with 2nd season thus June this year. It turned out alright as it lets the plants get a little more robust indoors.

This season I have x3 Sour Diesel x Lemon Kush and x3 Purple Punch in #7 containers. Their progress so far:

Holy carp, 700-900ppm is crazy. I don't feed by strict numbers, but anything from 400-900ppm is pretty normal. Our well water is something like 20-30ppm though.

Dude you're killin it. That's exactly the type of color fade you want to see. And you have them cleaned up so nice. You're clearly anal, so that's awesome. If you bring them out in mid-May, you need to add some light. Nothing gnarly that wrecks your bill, just a little something for a few extra hours is all it takes. I have a couple of these that I use with whatever the lowest wattage LED they have on hand, then just add a cheapy analog timer. Considering the commercial indoor experience, I assume you're all set, but holler if you ever want to do any networking.

So is RSO a combo of cbd & thc or another component?

ION, we got a 1/4” of rain this morning... : |

Got home, shook the branches of excess water, and found one plant with a broken branch. :( it is approximately 1/4 of the plant.
