The Kings traded Chris Webber!!!

I don't quite get your point, but whatever.

And you've actually proven my point even further. If he was as great as everyone makes him out to be, their record would have stayed consistent or improved upon his return and they would have won a ring by now.

ps- Bonds is a 'roid freak. :twofinger

At least the Warriors picked up Baron Davis....Thats somthin to smile about aint it? :later

I still hope the Warriors will be in position to get a good lottery pick this summer since this season is pretty much down the drain. I hope Davis isn't going to make Warrior starting to win suddenly this season.

I'm just saying one player in basketball makes a bigger impact on a team than one player in baseball.

I agree with your point, but not your comparison.

Yeah, yeah...(RE: Bonds)...:cry

Hmm...I think the Warriors have had enough lottery picks but it looks like they're in position to get another one next season.

I'd rather have them start winning and get a late lottery pick since now that the Warriors are over the salary cap with B. Davis' contract (4 more years @ $62M). If they get a good lottery pick and want to keep it but can't...well, that's just a shitty feeling (e.g. Gilbert Arenas)...

Also, with the collapse of the Arena deal. I predict the Kings GONE to Vegas within 3 years.

Baseball relies way more on the team concept than basketball. In basketball it is very much possible to have one player to bring a team a championship. For example, Michael Jordan, Shaq, Tim Duncan, etc.

:laughing :laughing :laughing :laughing

I'm gonna go ahead and kick the soapbox out from under you. When Shaq had a shitty team, they didn't win championships until they got Kobe in there, Derek Fisher, Rick Fox, and Phil Jackson pulling the strings. You think Jordan could've done it without Pippen, Kukoc, Longley, Rodman, and the rest of the role-playing crew? Nga pls.

Basketball is a team sport. A dude standing at home plate waiting to hit the ball is hardly a team sport.

The only "team" aspect of baseball is when they clear the dugouts and have a fight (kinda) on the field.

Yeah, Rick Adelman's talent as the general of the team is obvious in the fact that he has taken the NBA's most talented team and turned them into a fourth-place contender, and taken a five time All-star and future hall of famer, and not managed to win a title.

Why?

Horrible work ethic. The more I watched the Kings as of late, the more I become disguisted. When I started playing basketball, I was a Rodman-type player. Didn't shoot much, but did the dirty work. Even today, I pride myself on my defense and rebounding more than my shooting.

What the Kings have is five guys who like to step back and shoot jumpers, and on the other end, five guys who like to stand around waiting for the next guy to get the rebound.

You don't win championships being an elitist prick.

As for other coaching candidates, there's plenty of coaches in the NCAA that would love to take the reins of an NBA team. If they looked, they would've found someone.

The point is, instead of taking this core of talented players and bringing in some new leadership and new ideas, they milked the same strategy, same plays, same lineups, same matchups, as they did for the past six years. Nothing changed, guys just took turns getting injured.

Sacramento Kings-Vlade Divac-Doug Christie-Chris Webber= Las Vegas Kings

Are you really expecting streaky Mike Bibby, off-and-on Cuttino Mobley, and Gone-by-April Peja Stojakovic to make this team some sort of title contender? The only two halfway decent guys left on that starting lineup are Miller and Songaila, and Songaila is going to be mediocre at best.

The new Mitch Richmond era, we'll call it the Mike Bibby era.

I'm not saying that basketball isn't a team sport, it definetely is. I am an avid basketball player and I KNOW how to play the game (no, I'm not bragging but I understand the team concept).

So before you start laughing at me, try to understand my point that a single player on a 12 player team has more impact than a single player on a 30+ player team.

And to counter your statement that Jordan couldn't have done it without Pippen, etc...do you think they could have done it without Jordan?

EXACTLY.

If you take a player like Jordan out of a basketball lineup, their chance of succeeding is considerably decreased whereas take a player like Bonds out of their lineup their chances of winning doesn't decrease as much as bball.

So please don't n*%ga please me because I know exactly what I'm talking about.
