The Mandolorian (New Star Wars series on Disney streaming service)

Rey turning towards the dark side is the most interesting thing to happen in this last part of the saga imo.

I agree. The stories were disjointed. The story told in 7 and 8 in total was just odd. It was like watching the destruction of the original saga without adding anything compelling with what they replaced it with.

Yet Rogue One was phenomenal. The story there was just so damned good. So Disney can do it... when and if they want. Question is... do they want to in Mandalorian? Time will tell. I really hope it's good. I don't hold much hope for 9 at all.

The key to a solid production is Good Casting. Even with a Top Notch script, bad casting will kill you, which is why SOLO sucked. That guy was a pathetic imitation of a young Harrison Ford. Weak as fuck.

That being said, I believe in John Favreau. Robert Downy Jr's career was fucking OVER. He was lying in a heap of cast asides and forgotten stars to wallow amidst the memories of his former glory tarnished by years of addiction prison, and mental health nonsense. Favreau knew he HAD to be the guy and battled with Marvel to get him. They simply did not want to risk the limited capital they had to do their first film for a new studio on a recovering dope fiend (he had done a couple of small parts in pics prior to 2008's Iron Man, starting when Mel Gibson agreed to fund his insurance for one picture, because Downy couldn't get anyone to insure him to work in Hollywood again). Favreu knew the talent, and he is the XP and Showrunner on the Mandalorian. I believe.

Only true Star Wars movies are:

A New Hope
Empire Strikes Back
Return of the Jedi
Rogue One <--need to bring back this director!

All of the above concluded this world with RO tying in the missing chapter

Not a bad list. Very similar to mine. :thumbup

I'd rather watch The Ewok Adventure and Ewoks: The Battle for Endor rather than see 7 or 8 again. :laughing

High hopes for The Mandolorian. Hope they keep it dark because Mandos arent the cushy types.

As for the new trailer drop, I'm still on the fence. Dark Rey should be interesting but I'm pretty sure its basically mimicking Luke on Dagobah but we'll see. All speculation until we get to watch it.

I just wont be watching it when it drops...or the week that it drops...maybe a month or so after when the theater is empty.

BTW: ESB > all SW movies :twofinger

Sorry. Not sorry.

Do you think they're going to keep up the fuck you to the fans about snoke or explain him?

There are theories galore floating about. Most can be read @ ign.com or gather what you will from the movie poster.

Mel Brooks is 93. He could do the Yoda Dagobah scene. :laughing

My bad. I did a quick Google and the page stated he was in it and had passed away. I didn't think he was but watched it a long time ago so figured my memory was bad not the webpage.
