I am just back from a rally. Means I still have a little Moto high note. I still ride with some spirit here and there and it makes me smile. Big time. Made me think.

When I first threw a leg over that Honda 50. It lit me up because it was awesome and demanded I pay attention and take total control.

Made me feel all grown up and shit. I mean really good.

Friday when riding to Lakeport I threw my leg over a Ducati Multistrada V4 it lit me up and demanded I pay attention and take total control.

Made me feel all young and shit. I mean really good.

Perspective: I have come full circle and motorcycles are the shit.

Which means a way to really experience life in a super cool way for a really long time.

I like flying through space at speed with wind, temperatures, smells and other environmental feedback present.
The more beautiful and natural the surroundings the better the experience.

Motos
Skis/snowboards
Bikes

Lots of ways to get the rush

Today it was fall colors at 60 mph average on a twisty mountain road along a river.

Glad you got some too

Isn't this also where you give up total control? Accepting that fate has a way of exerting itself despite our best efforts? Even something so simple as descending the stairs! I'm probably an outlier looking at my mutlistrada as a mere means to conserve precious time lost to car commuting. Riding for riding's sake has never appealed. I'm always happy to experience this joy others feel vicariously, so thanks to all those ride reporters. Dirt/desert riding on the dr is a whole 'nother thing though, that is adventure!

Sure.. you give up control of the environment around you, but you never had that control originally.
I accept that and the challenge to overcome it. I have always been a moto spirit so to speak.

I am quite the opposite Doug.

My souls sings happily when I am riding, particularly when riding in animal mode = Zero outside thoughts. 100% in the game. Best feeling in the world to me.

I agree, nothing else beats riding a moto. Especially at speed.
Non-riders can’t grasp that and for us it’s impossible to put into words.
