JPP, and CJ Wilson, have apparently lost digit(s) from their fireworks-related incidents.

JPP may not be so effected, as he's not needed to intercept passes.

CJ Wilson otoh, is fucked.

IDK, Ronnie Lott lost a finger, I think it just made him hit harder. :laughing

sure, for JPP that might work. the espn beat writer for the Raiders already was talking about if they should pick him up if Jersey-a decides to get out of their contract with him...as a fan of a team desperate for a pass rush, it did pique my interest :laughing

but even if they move CJ to safety, the game is too different than the hard-hitting days of Lott. if he's not able to pick off a ball here and there, they'll find someone who can.

Yeah, but I thought of Lott, too. We don't know how much JPP lost yet, but if they cut any bone at all it is an amputation, even if it is only the last half of the last bone. They say he decided on amputation, because it was the fastest healing option, which makes me think they didn't take a big piece. The cat will miss training camp for sure, but he may not even miss the preseason from what they are saying right. Hard to read, because there is still a lot of contract posturing going on. I figure the Office will probably stand firm in typical fashion and make him play out the franchise tender before he gets a deal.

Yeah, Wilson sounds like a bad scene, but honestly he could probably still play the backfield. It is excellent to be able to catch as a corner, but if you can cover and stop the catch, you're still valuable. He is too small to switch over to a Safety to stop the run though.
