can you folks recommend some training-twisties? preferably in the south bay area, but anywhere is good.
i've got a month and 600 miles total in the saddle if that helps at all. passed my MSF last weekend. but just normal street riding doesnt present enough of a challenge curve-wise to learn enough
I know exactly what your talkin about going down hill and I had the same problem. I went on a ride with Happy Hornet and she showed me soo many pointers it all made sense. So when your going down hill like someone already said shift to a lower gear and break before the turn. She also told me about gripping your gas tank with ur knees, it helps to almost be one with the bike for more steady turns.
The twisties we went on was Calveras Rd in San Jose/Milpitas. Thought many rides dont prefer it over others due to suicidal squirrels, I saw a few already hit but none jumped out while we were riding. Its a very nice ride and the curves are pretty tight. I've done it twice and Im gettin better and better with my turns and I cant wait to get it down to an art
Good luck!
