Well i've been running them for the last 2 trackdays and its my first leap up to a DOT racing tire. I've found it to be FANTASTIC and a very predictable, grippy tire. The wear has been great so far on a literbike (08 10R) and I run it on warmers. My psi has been 26F 24R cold (started out from 29F 25R).

I'd like to see what people that are/have ran this tire think of it; how long it has lasted for you, on what size bike, pace, etc. Any comments appreciated!

I run em too. I squeeked 7 days out of them on my R6. I run similar pressures, sometimes lower depending on the track temp

WOw !! 7 days is insane! I won't feel too uncomfortable about doing my 3rd trackday on em though! I'm planning to flip the rubber on the rim so the right shoulder gets a bit of a work out. Thanks for the feedback!

you can get 5 days out of them at a 2 minute pace at t-hill. depending on heat cycles etc. sometimes more out of the front, especially on a liter bike. i got 6 days out of my last set before it went down to the wear bars and they still stuck. the reason i switched them is cause of how many heated days i used them on.

ah thanks for the feedback daredevil, that makes me feel a lot more confident as I didnt know what to expect 'life-wise' out of these tires. I'm running em on warmers so heatcycles are @ a minimum! Thanks!

nice, they will give you plenty of feed back when they start to go as well. a very predictable tire in my opinion, and im a newb. so if i can feel what its doing (to an extent) anyone can.

I run around 2:05's for now and have found the tire to be incredibly predictable. I do find that the front skates around a bit during hard braking but its very manageable. I'd be interested in seeing how it compares to the pirelli supercorsa but i'm quite happy having my bike 100% set up to the 003s. Esp if the wear is this good!

lol im slow and only on a 600. On the 7th day the rear started to break loose a bit and yeah, all 7 days were in pretty extreme heat so I prob shouldn't have pushed past the 6th day :p

sounds like you need to take a click out of rebound, maybe 2 and perhaps a click of out compression.

yeah, I have no issues with the front under heavy breaking, its the rear that is usually skipping around :party

I love the tires but for some reason I haven't been able to get anything more than 2 days out of my last couple sets

What did you use before these? What was your thoughts on using these the first time over street tire?

Ive got some 003 takeoffs sitting here which will be my first race tires as well.

I have only ran Michelin 2CTS (teh sux), Bridgestone BT002R/S and the BT003R's. So my tire usage/diversity on the track is pretty limited. For me, its a completely mental thing. I didnt start really pushing myself until I shed off the road/track hybrid tires and swapped to the full race DOTs. Having said that, the BT002R/S was a VERY solid tire for what it was.

When I first switched to the BT003's, it was more of a mental thing for me; i just had the utmost confidence in em so I was able to rail without a single thought of when the tire will give out. With the street tires, I always had lack of sudden traction on the back of my mind, so I never pushed it beyond my comfort zone. I thought that was a smart move lol.

I have yet to break traction riding hard on the 003s, the tire is phenomenal, very neutral, very grippy. I'm not gonna say anything about feedback as we all read feedback differently. I think you can't go wrong with it, provided it has enough life left

Got a good set of 003 take off's and lasted me 2 days @ THill on warmers @ a A-/B+ pace I had them 29 F&R. Very good tire! I never had a problem with stones and plan on sticking with them for awhile.

It was on a 07 750 btw.....

Funny i am pretty much the same story.
Used the 002rs for 3 trackdays, almost cooked thru em now but i thought it was a great tire. 1 crash on em but it was a front end tuck where race tire likely wouldnt have made a difference. Other than that ive never felt any lack of traction from the tires, but i never pushed em all out because of the mental idea that they were street tire. Fact is when i put some good heat into em they were pretty damn sticky.
Cant wait to try out the 003's on tuesday. first time on race tires, also first trackday with finally a steering damper and stainless lines on the bike, bike will be waay more confidence inspiring :party

hmm, might wanna drop the pressure a tad. :thumbup

To the op: what was about the 2cts that you didn't like? It's the only thing I've been running and it's lasted me 11 days at the track running a low B pace. I still have enough meat for probably 2 or 3 regular trackdays. Never ran into a loss of grip except for the one time I gave too much gas leaned over. Is the issue(s) you had with them only gonna show up once you get to a certain pace? Sorry for the threadjack.

I've never ran the 2cts, but from what I have read, when they do give out, they do so unexpectedly. Grip grip grip grip...no grip

Where as other tires are a bit more progressive in how they let go.
