Time to take a backseat Ducati. your duck is cooked.

fickle,

"....I'm telling ya, buy a used Tuono right now before the biking community gets hep to "Aprilia"...."

you gots dat right, mang

tho' some of us [Tuono Joice & I, for instance, and many other BARFers] are already hep & have 1 in the garage.......

aprillia while cool, has a LONG way to go before being even in the same sentence as ducati. win ANY major championship first. ducati won in motogp 6 races in, and won the title within 5 years of starting. aprilia started with multi time wsbk champ and still couldnt consistently even score points.

a couple wins in wsbk with corser and thats it. win multi wsbk titles, fight for titles in motogp, see if this bike can even win a race before you start calling for a demise of ducati

Curious if anybody know the standings of Ducati and Aprilia in the Pikes Peak hill climb?

Btw, I rock both, so I can hate both. :twofinger

I love all bikes, but your retarded Thread makes you look like a idiot. Its great to love the Brand you ride. But when did Aprilia last win anything... a race, a championship...
I dont think Aprilia could win in their own Aprilia Cup.

Lest you forget Max Biaggi won three consecutive motogp 250cc class titles on an aprilia and Jorge Lorenzo won the championship on an aprilia as well.

Also it is worth noting that they were 3rd in manufacturers points and 2nd in rider points in the Superbike World Championship 2001 with rider Troy Corser in which I believe was their first year in the series. Not bad for a start. Looks like Biaggi is on his way to doing the same.

They have also won the world supermotard championship...

^^^ hey f you teh sink rewls, just havent had alot of rush limba...ahem, holeshot posts to respond to!!

I want to streetfighter the tapioca out of one of those.

Last i heard Aprilia rocks the 250 2-strokes better than Ducati... oh wait thats right duc dont do 2-stroke anymore. Everyone is giving MJ shit for being a aprilia fan, well at least he isnt a sheep suckling the teat of Ducati.

Horrific paintjob and exhaust. Really dense and blunt styling, and kind of a star wars nose.

Awesome, awesome engineering.

Are we sure this thing is italian?

Looks like every other Japanese bike to me. I am sure it is great, but lets be honest, its NOT a Ducati, and there will be another Duc with better performance at some point, then Jap bike, then etc..... Perfomance kings dont sell the best, Ask the ZX14.

....and it isnt all Red. Ducati is fine, dont worry.:)

ZX14 performance king? Really?!? :wtf Maybe in straight line.

I'm not sure why there needs to be so many threads on the same bike, but the RSV4 really is a MAJOR step forward for Aprilia and a legitimate contender for the "best" superbike.

I think the new RSV4 is freaking hawt. The performance is going to be phenomenal with some chassis adjustment features not found on any other bike. Better than anything else? All the bikes are so damn good right now, that seems doubtful, but the RSV4 is definitely in the conversation.

FWIW, I heard the first R1 with the crossplane crank on Tuesday at Infineon and it sounded UNFREAKINGBELIEVABLE. I have never had lust inspired by a Japanese bike like the new R1. It's far too powerful for me, but damn that thing sounded sexy.

put ducati in your thread title for guaranteed chatter. why the fuck is that? call me whatever you want, but don't call me late for dinner.

There is no need for pasta on pasta crime here people! The real crime is that there is no race track in south bay!

Both brands are nice but I can care less or afford either one. Although I dont have trouble passing either at the track on my little zuki :laughing

I'm a bit like Triple R. I can't afford either, but, having owned a V-Twin, I wouldn't care to own one again, whereas, being a VFR owner, the prospect of a 21st century V4 definitely appeals.
