To the desmosedici rev'ing at Alices Sunday morning....

Some of you are extrapolating this into something it isn't. We all expect to hear motorcycles up there on the weekends. The homeowners as well as the 'visitors'. Is it unreasonable to expect people to not go overboard and rev their motorcycle as they arrive and as they depart? I think so. This isn't too much different than someone doing a wheelie or a stoppie as they ride past. It ADDS to the problems we have up there.

The locals, the homeowners, are doing what most of us would do if this was happening in our neighborhood. They are taking action! They meet regularly. They involve LEO's at these meetings. Most of them are reasonable, a few of them are not. Both types deserve our attention. They ask LEO's to do anything and everything to reduce the accidents. They offer to donate $ to help purchase equipment used for speed enforcement.

One gentleman is concerned for his wife, an MD. She is unable to relax on weeknds due to the frequent crashes within a few feet of thir driveway. She leaps into action everyday. She is unable to decompress on her days off. Another family has a difficult time leaving their driveway due to the speeding vehicles. This particular guy knows that it is a challenge when people do the speed limit, but near impossible when many are above 100mph ( he is a former racer, judges speed pretty well, and lives near a short straight )

For the most part, the homowners are looking for a workable solution. A balance. Is that not reasonable? Wouldn't most of us feel the same if we had people speeding and crashing in our neighborhood?

What prevents the state from cutting rumble strips or putting speed bumps across the road on these straights?

Awesome clip Wil, hella lolz.

I'm no expert on the matter but I figure that since 9, 35, 84, and etc are all highways it would be counter productive to place speed bumps on the roadways given the drop offs, foliage, and other variables.

the lambo got some air then landed cleannnn

kornholio: this is why i was 'chopping?? seriously?? :facepalm

Yep. I never imagined that it was going to blow up like this! A few pages ago, I intended on saying something to the effect of...

"Well I've got nothing else to add to this thread, so here's a D16 with a pancake on it's head."

:D

Of course Ray beat me to the punch with the pancake pun so I just placed it where it fit in. :thumbup

Please, putt this thread out of it's misery!

JFC... Had Mike complained about an over-revving R1, would some of you Ducati owners/defenders grow some common fucking sense? and find your own nut to step on for shits and giggles?

Now it's turning into a brand war (again).... ok, ducati owners have more money than brains and every japbike owner has a moral/practical superiority, we get it.

Please, putt this thread out of it's misery!

Hey if something bothers me. I'll let you know. If you choice to fix that problem is another deal. Thats what makes or breaks you....

But I know going around bikes your going to have that stuff happen. I cant tell you how many countless times I have seen r1, gsxr's cbrs' do the same. Yet no thread was made... or has ever been made...

Its all good...... I know your all venting... I'm fine with that.
