No. You're perfectly summing it up why class is an issue. A classy individual recognizes that a Desmo needs NO help when it comes to appreciating the bike, aside from riding it hard. This is the same idea as bashing Harley riders who feel entitled to brap straight pipes at stoplights over and over again while pretending that they're badasses. Just because he's on a Desmo doesn't mean he'll avoid the wrath any less.

No. The point is that the Desmo was made to run. That's all that bike wants to do. For a somebody to essentially play show and tell with a bike that needs no showing is ridiculous.

SO the bike and all race replicas should only be on the track they have no business being on the road when they were born for the track. Anything else is poserific.

Especially a Sunday morning when there's a large Ducati event going on down the hill? Jesus, Alice's is a world renowned motorcycle stop! Much like the Rock Store is in southern California. People go there expecting to see and hear bikes! Especially on a weekend when there's a local event going on. For someone to complain about it seems elitist to me and I'm sorry if that makes me an asshole. On a serious note:
As someone who was there as well and who was able to take it all in with morti-fire, the revving and how it was done seemed a little unnecessary. It was a bit more than just that one or two revs we all like to do.

I mean, I like to hear my bike roar. If I had a bike at that caliber I would LOVE to hear it roar. It is a BEAUTIFUL piece of machinery. However, I would not like to get disapproving looks from elderly ladies or make them feel the need to cover their ears either. After all, even though Alice's is famous for being a stop for motorcycles, it does also receive non-moto patronage.

But then again, it could just be me. I mean, I chose to look at eggs instead. What the hell is wrong with me.

I think the real problem was just that it was some crappy Desmo with those iritating dry valves. now if he had been revving something cool like an Aprilia RSV4 I think everybody woulda been happy.
