Was looking at tool kits today and would appreciate suggestions.

I searched several forums, but I'm still on the fence for bag or roll-up, and hoping someone has contemporary suggestions for the tools. currently undecided about paying for kriega-tool-roll/ or cheaper stuff off amazon.

For wrenches, I liked the stuff on advrider by chinaV: tool kit . Has anyone found cheaper lightweight wrenches?

problem with some of the lightweight wrenches is that it can round out the tips of either the tool itself or the bolt that can be a pita if on the side of the road...

oddly, i bought an inexpensive set of tools at a car dealership in the bargain bin and it holds up better than the OEM honda allen wrenches and comes in a sturdy case rather than a pouch and was told i can return it if i had any issues even if i opened it and used it...

my only recommendation is to see , touch, feel the tool in person before buying online..bring a few nuts, bolts, screws with you to see how it fits....too many cheap quality tools out there with fancy cases or pouches that can be decieving...

are you looking for something portable to go with your bike? or to just stay in your garage?

I am looking for a portable kit, have way too many tools at home already.

It looked like those asahi wrenches save weight in the handle rather than going to thin like sheet metal or lighter/softer metal. A set from levelchrome.com: http://tinyurl.com/d64q8zm

I agree about cheap tools. Those asahi are not cheap $, but hard to find reviews. Maybe I'm fixating and should just deal with the extra weight and be practical.

I have been looking at Cruztools BMW kit or building a set from Motion Pro tools nice stuff but $$$

BMW K1600 site discussion on tool kits some are over the top, some are just cell phone and road side service.
The cruztools looks OK, but the premium for a package does not sit well with me. Besides, most packages compromise on quality tools to cut costs. So I'm looking to build up a kit, buying the roll and tools separately. I will probably cave to Motion Pro prices for some of their compact tools. Haven't studied the linked thread yet, but will so thanks for the pointer.

Ditto, portable and on the bike. Building a garage will have to wait a few years. I rent, and although I'm moving into a place with a garage, it's shared with roommates.

All, thanks for the input! :)
