So i need to bring my tires to the shop for mounting.I don't have a car so the bike is the only way. two tires, front and back. should I just put it through my body and ride there? It's about 5 miles on the free way. thanks

I've done that. Not ideal, but it gets the job done. Be aware of limited range of motion of your arms and such.

I've seen people do that.

Ask Stan, he strapped them to a backpack with bungee cords and it looked a lot better.

I've done the over the shoulder trick and it sucks.

that's not a bad idea butz will the back pack hold is the question lol.

I've strapped tires to the backseat of my old crappy SV when I didn't have a car.. but if I had a 2010 ZX6R I'd be worried about damaging something doing it that way.

Easiest/Safest way is to ask a buddy/girlfriend/family member to follow in a car and drop off the tires.

it'd be much better to put your body through the tires, done it, iti sn't comfortable, but doable if you take it easy.

2nd the rockstrap suggestion

no kidding -

[1] body thru hoop, up on LH shoulder/down oh R hip

[2] make 2 trips

no friends/ family lol lonely -_-. but yea I'm going to try that. one through body and one from lefy shoulder to right waist.

:thumbup I've done it when there wasn't a better option available.

Over your head, to the waist area, then put your helmet on. Done that with many sets over the yrs.

If I wasn't all the way up in Santa Cruz I'd take your tires to the shop.

But if this guy can get 4 CAR TIRES on what looks like a 50cc...

Damn. Comments like these always mess with my head; I can never tell if people are serious or joking. :dunno

Either way, send me a PM if you want to grab a beer or go for a ride. I'm always willing to make new friends.

Where are you in San Jose and what shop do you need to get them too? I may be able to throw them in my truck and take them over for you. Send me a PM if you need help.

riders helping riders. :applause

op, I have stepped into both front and rear tires and they sit around my waste and upper abdomen. be aware of your range of motion, and go easy. done it a few times. :teeth no biggie. or do like the 50cc. :teeth
