Trip to Lake Tahoe

That would (and the detailed map, might be the clincher) be sweet as well.

If he had the extra time (and I don't know but I bet you do, just how much time the Kingsbury Grade / Hope valley excursion adds to to the route).

But...After doing this trip (no matter which of the suggested ways they do it) They will have every incentive to do it again...and take in what they didn't do before...if Twisties (some steep ones) and OMG scenery has anything to do with it :thumbup
 
Nice shots, makes me look forward to this weekend's road trip (although we'll be taking 50 to South Lake Tahoe/Garnerville). But those gas prices, damn! :wtf

But what is a tank of gas there going to cost more than a tank of gas in the Bay Area? Like Less than $10. (could be $5.) more...pocket change...in the scheme of the priceless trip :laughing
 
Nice pictures.. I recognized Isleton/Rio Vista right away. The inlaws live in Oakley so I've been on those backroads a few times. Looks like it was a hell of a ride.

Markleeville is on 89, looks like he took 88, 206, 207, 50, 267 and 89 again before he got to 49 and Nevada City:nerd
Yuba Pass is kinda hard to photograph, just not enough room, too tight - awesome to ride though!
